Deadpool's name is Wade Wilson and Deathstroke's is Slade Wilson. Plus the same outfit, mastery over guns, and stuff.

Yes he was made to make Death stroke, that's why he is so comical. he is the exact opposite of death strokes personality

Deathlok the demolisher was created in the 70s by Marvel then Deathstroke the terminator was created in 80s by DC and then Deadpool the merc with a mouth was created in the 90s by Marvel..

Deadpool was an original creation but then some dude said it was almost like Deathstroke and the creator apparently decided to use Deadpool as a parody of Deathstroke by naming himm Wade Wilson.

Deadpool (personality-wise) was a blatant rip off of spidermans, everyone knew this... it was bad. Deadpool didn't become popular until recently when they tweaked him a bit. You have to remember this happened a lot during the 90's...a lot. Characters and entire teams ripped each other off. It was to the point you could look and know by the first issue that this guy had powers like soandso and the personality of whatshisface.

The answer is yes and no. Rob created him and based his design off of Slade, his writer Fabian noticed it so they decided to call him Wade Wilson as a joke. As for the outfit, they couldn't be more different, different color scheme, Deathstroke has one eye, Deathstroke wears armor. Their skill sets are the same both being top class weapons experts and gifted hand to hand fighters who have healing factors, Deathstroke has been praised as a strategic genius while Wade is called insane(fun fact though Wade's plans always work out like some twisted Rube Goldberg machine)

Don't listen to some of these people saying he was a ripoff of Spiderman or Deathstroke. Rob took some inspiration from them but Fabian and Joe Kelly have made it clear Deadpool is his own character. So what some people may call a knock off quickly grew into his own.
