Is Danzo overrated?

I'm not saying he is weak ,but lets face it him without Izanagi is not Kage level. He already got soloed by Shisui by simple genjutsu sharingan. He got soloed by simple Shurkien, his fuuton attacks aren't specially strong and Baku gets countered if you have a strong katon attacks (Uchihas and Sarutobis)

He is not the fastest, nor the one with the most stamina and truth be told he had to spam Izanagi to be close to fighting Sasuke. Im not hating ,but he is not Kage Tier without Izanagi

Danzo was only good at his piñata role against Sasuke.

A character got wasted in that fight, and I´m not even a fan.

OT: Closer to underrated (going by your post alone i would say underrated w/o a second thought).
I think its either because his character is a douche or he got soloed by Sasuke even with such a strong stolen abilities. Possibly a combination of both.

Underrated, actually.

He's older and weaker, but he has dangerous Fuinjutsu and lethal Fuuton. His summon, the Baku, is also pretty kickass.

Then with Izanagi, he has 10 minutes of invincibility and with Koto Amatsukami he manipulate virtually anyone, along with the Sharingan's other abilities. He has novice skill with Mokuton, it has it's uses, but Hashirama's cells seem best used to boost Danzo's chakra.

Danzo was holding back so he'd have enough chakra to face Obito next. Karin also helped Sasuke at least three times, and Obito intervened on Sasuke's behalf. He also couldn't use Shisui's eye the entire fight; aside from Koto Amatsukami, it at least would had allowed him to figure out Sasuke's last ruse.

I know, i just don't want to be picky.
But regardeless, Sasuke did made a number on Danzo by taking advantage of his arrogance. I think that's important to note as well.

I disagree with this! Naruto did the training necessary to be able to master sage mode. I do agree with the Kyuubi, that it was an additional power given to him, but regardless, sage mode was a power that he obtained through his own hard work. Sasuke on the other hand was born with the Sharingan, so the question of whether he had it or not shouldn't even apply. Your pretty much implying that you take out the Sharingan, which is just changing the whole plot of the story. With Danzo on the other hand, he didn't inherit any of those abilities, yet he stole Hashirama's DNA and stole Shisui's sharingan and other uchiha members, and used them to make him substantially stronger. If he didn't steal those abilities and relied on his own power, then the question is how strong would he really be?

Danzo is strong enough to be Hiruzen's rival and one of best third hokage candidate. Not even Prime Hirzuen can one shot him. All Hail Prime Danzo.
