Is Danzo a good person?

I actually think that Danzo is one of the best characters, with all the stuff that happened in the manga and anime. Its also sad how he was always in the shadows with Sarutobi and he didn't get the position as hokage which he had wanted.

Then everyone starts hating on him when really he does good things, but evil things that have to be done.

The massacre of the Uchiha Clan was to prevent war, and we know there were people wanting to rebel.
Even Itachi, who is a genius, knew what Danzo meant.

That's barely arrogant. When you think about it, he has identified so many problems in the shinobi world which other ninja have not taken action or noticed themselves. He knows what is required so far, he has completed many acts to protect Konoha

If I hade to chose, i would say he's not perfect but his heart is on the right place.

And HELL NO the explanation 'he wants what's best for the village' doesn't cut it; that sounds like: I killed him/her because that's what's best for him/her. We are not talking about an Itachi case here, someone caught in a bad situation who took the wrong way out; Danzo was amongst those creating the bad situations!
