Is Boruto's display of talent in teh anime filler?!?!

I'm veri confused by Boruto anime. In this anime, Boruto iz a superhero genius with all teh elements and he wins without effort and aces teh exams......

BUT! in teh canon materials (movie+manga) Boruto got easily solo'd by Shikamaru version 2 and a sharinganless, no-killing intent, no CES sarada.

so...can somebody confirm for me teh fillerority of teh anime?!?! im so confused...........

I believe because the movie was mostly created by Kishimoto, he just couldn't help himself making an exact copy of Naruto. In the manga he's pretty talented the attack he did against Naruto combining water and lightning was badass for his age. Plus he beat a Jounin level ninja.

Some aspects of the anime would be filler, like all the skills he displayed with kakashi or the just the mini stories.

The canon would be the jougan eye, knowing all elements and the story progression

It’s kind of a two sided coin deal. While the manga is ahead in terms of plot, the manga(canon) has taken characters like Sumire (from the anime) and the Land of Wave events (also Anime) and have adopted them directly into the manga.

While I think the Manag is 100% canon, the anime is at least 50/75% canon as well since they are using events and characters originally debuted in the anime and placing them directly into the manga.
