Is Boruto is a better protagonist than Shippuden Naruto?

They're different types of characters 1 spams to cover for his weakness and the other I uses some intellect and jutsu.

I prefer Boruto because I'm a fan of ninjutsu and Boruto may show variety and doesn't have unlimited chakra reserves to spam. Which means he may become an actual ninja and javing Sasuke as his sensei doesnt hurt him I have high hopes for him.

The good thing is he's not dry like Minato and isn't a 1 trick pony I'm looking forward to his development.

IMO no.

I can't bring myself to like Boruto as much as I try while I naturally liked Naruto's character throughout part one and most of part 2. Not really a dig on Boruto though, he has his moments, but i think that his problem is mainly based on trying to stretch out his problems when they could be easily resolved at a much earlier point, for example his hatred of Naruto and the Hokage post as well as his lazy prodigy status worked really well in just chapter 700 and the Boruto movie. With the series added, his overall mindset seems to not fit well enough to lead into his movie arc *shrug*.

Can't help but critique Boruto's character whenever I speak of him sorry. All in all he isn't, but he has the potential to be if he is written better in the future.

Nope, Naruto has 700+ chapters and several movies to establish him as a MC. Boruto has like 15+ chapters and a film. Hes not even close.
