I don't see how the Hyuga lineage can ever be useful. But then again, Boruto has no benefits from his Uzumaki lineage too.

In the end, neither of them really benefit him, he's just getting free powerups and asspulls all the time because: protagonist no jutsu.

I think it was pretty much confirmed that Boruto is more of a Hyuuga than an Uzumaki (at least gene wise?) because he has a Dojutsu now. It's probably somewhat related to his Hyuuga side, though the reason for it being different is also because he's an Uzumaki.

From that standpoint, I'd say it's 50/50. He's a perfect hybrid. He benefits from the Uzumaki's strong chakra, is a Prodigy stemming from both bloodlines, and now has a KKG that might have good potential.

The anime and manga are already hyping up his dojustu, and Momoshiki already highlighted his Hyuga/Byakugan blood. His Hyuga linegae is the reason why he those 'Blue Eyes' and the reason Momoshiki gave him the curse mark in the 1st place. So yeah his Hyuga side is the reason hes gonna be OP.
