also it has way stronger powerups than naruto ever gets.
fighting scenes r better.

I just recently found the answer to this question myself. I hated Bleach anime, but never tried reading its manga until a week ago.
Honestly its worth the time spent. I'm at chapter 424, which looks like the Fullbringer arc every1 is mentioning>.<... Oh well.
Good read 'til now for sure =D

I'd actually recommend watching the anime first until you finish the Arrancar Arc (excluding fillers). Then, once you finish that you can start reading. The first few arcs (Soul Society Arc especially) are loaded with good action that you'd be missing if you just read it.

Its good. But, for my part, Naruto characters and action scenes are way better. The way I see it, in bleach, all characters hold back a lot in fights, then say, wow you really are strong and pulls a powerup, then the opponent pulls one, then the other guy pulls one more and it goes on like this till one decides to retreat, for now acting all high and mighty. Naruto, while the tree jumping scenes are poorly animated, has way more EXCITING battles in my opinion. Most annoying thing is, major characters hardly ever die, and if they die, they don't leave an impact upon the reader like Naruto. Its below Naruto, but worth reading, and better than one piece.

I just started myself and it reminds me a lot of reading Yuske's story. Starts off kinda slow, but when it picks up it really picks up. I waited a few years, but reading Bleach is definitely worth it. The characters are very well developed.

In my opinion bleach is a better anime, it's more of a fighting type of show like DBZ, the story isn't really all that, especially after the first arc. The Soul Society arc is bleach's best arc but compared to more story based animes it's decent. I would park the manga and watch the anime if you want to give it a try, it's the best way to experience the fights. It's not a "can't wait to read what happens to...", type of series, it's more like a "I can't wait to see him fight...", type of series.

Bleach is quite good actually, and I gotta say, it's better than Naruto in many ways. Bleach also has many great fights and some overpowered characters (yes, I'm talking about Aizen =D) and it also has less flashbacks than Naruto so you won't be disappointed. So, yeah, Bleach is an anime worth being addicted to.
