Is Attack on Titan overrated?(Please give me a reason)

Like Punk said, everything becomes overrated once it's successful because the success makes people feel like they should have an opinion on it.

But me I think the success it's gained is earned.

The reason you think AOT is overrated is exactly because you haven't read the manga. The anime is very good to begin wtih, I mean animation and artwork are excellent, however, none of these is a decisive factor. The reason for which AOT is unique is because of its plot and characters, who are far more humane than any other manga I have read. What really keeps me interested is characters' development the way it's depicted in the manga, in the anime it wasn't that much touched. In any case, if you do read the manga eventually, you'll see that the plot is way more complicated and philosophical in a way that greatly surpasses what it looks like at first as just "humans vs titans".

OT: It's a great anime indeed, but yes it's overrated. People have become obsessed with the anime so much that they deny logic and have sunk so low that they even think Titans > Entire marvel. People overvalue the damn anime too much, they think it's the best anime on earth. Not just on this forum but the many other anime forums too. I, for one, love the anime, i'm caught up with the manga which i usually read a month or two late after it's release. :b

Quite overrated. People were saying how good it was and often how emotional it was. Basically the fear induced at the beginning combined with the mystery of the titans and emotions felt during the invasions is what prompted people to think it was amazing. Problem was it started to lose its luster over time as those high emotions wore off with time in the plot. So did the excitement and level of mystery surrounding the plot.

Basically, it was not overrated while the plot was running high, but once it toned down it became overrated.

People call anything that's popular overrated. I like how different it is from other Shonen, it stands out as more realistic.

Well AOT is good with unique plot .But like Bazz said people say its best out there which is not the case I say its overrated little bit.
