Is Asuma's Flying Swallow technique different from Chakra Flow?

Ok so i was reading some databooks and for Chakra Flow for wind element, it sharpens the weapon such as a kunai so that its able to cut through rocks and even iron. But for Asuma's Flying Swallow technique, it says it shapes the wind chakra into the blades shape and can make the weapon sharperand have more range, isnt that basically the same thing? Shouldnt it just be called Chakrs Flow?

You make a good point but wind affinity sharpens the poinnt or blade whereas flying swallow elongates the blade... I wonder if that difference is all there is to it.
