Is Amon dead?

I think Amon/Noatock is still alive .....When Korra was hiding inside he walked away but he still bloodbended her, maybe he sensed her presence....more accurately the presence of water/blood in the surrounding area (kenbunshoku haki! )

So its possible when Tarlock put the Equalist glove and unscrewed the fuel cap, he sensed the actions and thats why there was single tear drop from his eyes before the blast.....also they showed only a distant view of the explosion...plus Amon was so much farther away from the blast point than Tarlock

its so difficult to say Noatock all the time and Amon sounds so much cooler right? :noc:

How many do you agree with my theory? Please comment.

Amon was in close proximity of the blast,- the boat is pretty small. As much as I hate to say it, Amon is dead :/ I'm sure they'll bring new, yet awesome villians in the 2nd season. Hey, maybe they'll mention it in the comic-con panel

Disagree:
(1) The only interesting and plausible part of your theory
(2) They aren't going to show a close up of two men being blown to bits on Nickelodeon. Think about it.
(3) Being an additional 3-4 feet from the engine won't make a difference with such a large explosion.

On top of that, Amon has nothing more to offer as a villain. His return would not serve the story line.

Fire Bending -Lightning

I think that they could be dead, though as someone else said, the first point made by the OP was a good one, mentioning Amon's ability to sense Tarlock. Though I do disagree about Amon no longer being able to serve a purpose. All of his actions seemed to imply that he would be back, and especially considering we never found out HOW he took bending away with bloodbending.The writers for this show are good, i don't think they will forget about that.

i agree. i hope he's not dead yet. he's a great villain. i was shocked that he turned softy towards the end. he should have a comeback... and be more badaSs!!
but if amon was dead, the next villain should top amon's badassness or the story would just be lame... xd
