Think about it people for once a manga allows us the ability to use actual science. He was literally warping space tell me who has ever done anything like that? Off of pure speed.

Something like Amaterasu would still destroy him because he is flesh

I'd agree but there's also the gate's ability to keep kisame's sharks at bay before asaukujaku(?) So ama' shouldnt penetrate the air bubble(like aangs but uber haxx) either but unless he "fly/steps" up he would get caught if ama's caster keeps up a steady stream.

:sdo: Did you at all even consider any of the posts above before coming to is conclusion?
no, I didn't.
but I did read the manga.
It says gates is a forbidden tech.
it says every gate after the 2nd damages the body
it says nothing about increasing durability. instead it illustrates the opposite multiple times.

it doesn't increase chakra either.

so there was never any ''question'' when I opened this thread to post, rather I was shaking my head at the nonsense being spouted inside.

He's a glass canon with a very small amount of time before he shatters....

I was going to correct myself by saying this.

While in his 8th gate state, Gai is at a speed so great that it warps the very fabric of space. So therefore if his body is strong enough to deliver a hard physical hit while going at such a velocity times the weigh of his mass, i'd say his body is pretty damn durable.

This dives a little into the theory of relativity.

This. So no, Sakura does not One-shot. :bdpf:

Pretty sure he's just as durable as base Gai.

Rhetorical sines Madara did heal Himself and Gui could not. Madara was in no danger being immortal at the time. The only thing for Madara to regret is the pain He let Him self go to.

First of all, the manga doesn't have to directly say something for it to be implied. There are several viable justification above for how the 8th gates by it's own logic grants it durability. Even if the mass release of chakra from the gates does begin to tear the body apart from inside out, there are certain feats demonstrated by the 8th gates that clearly implies some durability feats.

As for the other gates, i'm not sure. My arguing is for the opening of the 8th gate alone.

8th Gate Gai fought with such intensity that he managed to make contact with Juubidara's body and shattered his TSB as a result and Newton's 3rd Law suggests that Gai has to withstand the force he applied on Juubidara as Juubidara also redirects the same force back on 8th Gate Gai, so he certainly does have some durability.

Hell, 7th Gate Gai alone resisted the force of an explosion which resulted from his Hirudora and Juubidara's strength.
