Listen up maggots, victims med-shinobi-to-be! You can call me Dr.Shinta or better known as Dr. Shinta-Super-Kami-Fūkage-san-sama-senpai-sensei-sama-san-...-kun.

Before we start out first lesson, introduce yourselves; tell us why you're here and what you hope to get out of this experience. That way I can try my best to crush your dreams help you achieve your goals for this training!

As you know, I'm Shinta; I've been a sensei for a few years now and Kage of Amegakure for almost just as long. I finished Medical School some time ago under Rei, Scorps, Vincent and then finished off by Scorps. My graduating class-mates were Sharingdork and McRazor and since then I've done a bit of work on and off in the hospital and in the short-lived NW Hospital on the NW Doctor's accounts. I am now of course your teacher... again from at least Akasha's perspective xD

Shinta-sensei-senpai-shishou-kun-san-desu! Hey! I wish to gain a good fundamental knowledge for further development of my medical capabilities. In addition I wish to have an understanding which will enable me ability to help my alliance during times of war as well as heal those who seek treatment within the hospital. I am still not 100% sure in which field I want to specialize, however poisonous for now seem like the best root to take.

I must say, it's a pleasure being able to learn under your tutelage, Dr. Shinta-sensei. It shouldn't come as a surprise, but my primary objective is to become a medic able to assist anybody in need of treatment; whether they be a fellow villager or a patient in the general hospital, it'll be enjoyable. As a puppeteer, two long-term goals would be modifying bodies and acquiring the capacity to utilize poison. Without a doubt, the ideal specialization route would be poison over, say, self-empowerment or medical fūinjutsu. In general, new knowledge is always welcome.

Let's have fun~ <3

Very good, poison seems to be the popular route to take with the advanced classes. However, that is a long road ahead of your two... hopefully not too long though xD

So, I hope you have read the ?
As you might know, if not you will know by reading that post, Med-jutsu gives a ninja unparalleled knowledge in many fields; including Kinjutsu, Fuuinjutsu and Dokuton (poison release). Not only this, but the in depth knowledge of the human anatomy grants you an advantage over your opponents in almost any situation, particularly close-quarters combat. However, the medical ninja should not first on the front line, your jobs are to sit back as far away as possible and keep your comrades alive and well. That being said, if you find yourselves fighting, your opponent better be sure that they are doing. ^^

Now, Shinta's about to teach you a little something called the Pecking Order... First, there are you two (Med-trainee's), then the dirt, the worms inside of the dirt, that bag of odd organs to be thrown out, Kami, then Shinta O__O' and then Scorps
...

Anyway, don't make a new thread for this but your homework is as follows:
You are to write a small text to explain what chakra is, how it works and how the human body relates to chakra in narutoverse.
Your level of detail is up to you, however not the phrase small text. In this instance, I'm looking for accurate information to be as concise as possible, something I deem as important for medical ninja's given the complexity of some surgeries.

Homework #1
In layman's terms, chakra is synonymous with "life energy" - an aptly designated term to describe the composition of physical energy and spiritual energy necessary for continued living. Naturally, all individuals inherently produce chakra to some extent, though ninja commonly harness it and utilize it in such a way that it becomes "weaponized" and thus, the fundamental resource of ninjutsu. That said, for chakra to be manipulated in a particular manner, the individual must release this amalgamated energy outside their bodies via nodes. These nodes, typically numbered at 361, are tenketsu - organic components of the chakra pathway system responsible for the circulation of chakra throughout the body. Instances whereby damage to certain nodes is incurred will result in a disturbed chakra flow and the inability to release chakra through them. It wouldn't be an understatement to say that chakra and the bodily network it circulates through are just as important as, say, the cardiovascular system, especially to ninja at all levels of skill and experience.

In real life, the human body has three vital systems.

The nervous system, which coordinates the body;
The cardiovascular system, built from a chambered instrument which pumps the body in consequent rhythm through a system spread throughout the body;
The respiratory system which provides body with life-force, oxygen;

In NW, there is another vital system without which the body wouldn't be capable of functioning. It is a chakra pathway system. It has a net similar to that of a circulatory system which essentially permits chakra to circulate perpetually. Similarly to how if one of the vital organs stop working in RL the body won't be able of functioning on its own; same applies here. If chakra pathway system has been damaged, the body can't function any longer or will be left with consequences depending on the assault made. The chakra is formed in one of the chakra coils and then spread throughout the pathway system, whereas it would be released out of one of the tenketsus which are spread all over the body via chakra control and manipulation. It (chakra) actually consists out of two type of energies, the spiritual and physical. Whereas the spiritual comes from the mind and the physical from the body. Both can be further refined only through training and repeatedly performing a certain action. Each body has a certain maximum of chakra it can reach depending on their genetic, however they are not born with that maximum but rather have to train both their body and mind to reach it. Although chakra is usually not visual as is, in greater amounts it gives a certain hue depending on the body in question which releases it. It is differing from one body to another, however there are certain similarities in it shown by those who share lineage.

Sorry, just moved countries and I'm still setting up... this isn't even my permanent place @__@

Now, reading over each others homework, I want you to take your partner's homework and summaries it into a series of bullet points to gain a different view of the same homework question. Then either ask your partner or myself any questions that you might have from this homework exercise.

I'm not sure my frequency of posts, but I'll try to get another one in as soon as possible ^^

  • Chakra represents essence of living
  • It can be used as a weapon through manipulation and release from either one of 361 tenketsus
  • In case of damage upon one of the tenketsus, user will have issues of further releasing and manipulating chakra from the same

Spiritual & Physical Energy:
- derived from the mind and body, respectively
- can be further refined through repetitious use and training

Human Body:
- each body has a limited quantity of chakra it can generate at any given time
- individuals aren't born with their maximum quantity; they must hone it over time

Chakra Characteristics:
- generally invisible to the naked eye, but great concentrations of it can be perceived
- each person's chakra actually has a unique hue, and shared lineage may give rise to loosely similar hues
