I actually think it would have been Iruka regardless. Though Jiraiya was Naruto's godfather, Iruka has been there for him the most and the longest with the emotional support.....

....besides...you know J-man would have been too busy perving on all the bride's maids to fulfill that role

Actually Jiraiya pretended to not want to train Naruto when the reality he knew Naruto and looked after him from a distance since the death of Minato. However the way Naruto feels about Iruka is way more I think, even though Jiraiya is his God father.

His real dad was a scrub. He should have used shunshin on Naruto to teleport to him on his wedding day. *Dafuq, Obito came back from the dead using his chakra remains in Kakashi. Minato's shunshin works the same the mark leaves a chakra on the target's body). Thanks Kishix :_)
