Minato is a well written character man....i say this because the irony behind him is so perfect the fastest ninja in the series one of the best shinobi ever...but yet he has never been fast enough when he absolutely needed to...when obito supposedly died..when rin died...couldnt get to kushina in time to keep the nine tails from getting extracted...now not quick enough to seal the other half of kyubi in naruto...idk if kishi did this on purpose but he made a character that seemed perfect from the very beginning so perfectly imperfect its almost like kakasi...to see tjem struggle with mistakes they made and make more mistakes its interesting to watch

Well to be honest, the manga over rated him too. But I think that's what this guy is getting at. Everybody, including Minato himself, has very, very lofty goals and expectations of him. Goals and expectations that he just simply can't live up to. Goals and expectations that very well may be the entire reason he fails so much.

Even the strongest bridge will crack if you put too much weight on it.

A major part of naruro has been regret we have seen it mostly with kakashi the regret that you could not save the ones precious to you. ....thats what minato is dealing with he has the power to be a key point in winning a wars but with all of that he has let the ones in his life die being strong enough to protect the village but not his family and friends

He saved the shinobi alliance twice thus saving the shinobi world but it looks as if he cant save his own son

You have a point, he's ironic as hell.

He's not fast enough when it really matters.

Kishi is pretty good in ruining his characters except for his almighty Uchihas. Look at Minato he is supposed to be the best product of Konoha. He has manny hypes in the 1st part. And on past clips of part 2 he is real badass overcoming enemies w/out difficulties at all. His fight w/ Tobi demonstrated him being calm, cutroat, calculated & has amazing deductive reasoning power despite emotional and phsycological pressures (with dying wife, hostaged son, endagered village, by Kyuubi, unknown enemy, he still managed to do well). Now look at him that damn Kishi reduced him to a useless piece of shit since Juubito!!!! And so far Kishi religiously, consistently ruinning him!!!!! Kishi didn't allow him to show his whatever jutsu it is by permanently cutting off his arm and crap he's been acting retard in battle field!!!!
