The third appeared out of nowhere with some logs under his arm. He then made a bonfire and sat down. With a finger he released some katon chakra to set the fire to life.

Where's my student?

A fire blazed and lit the sky in the surrounding area. Sasori laid his emotionless eyes upon where the source of the fire was coming from and slowly began making his way towards it. Hopefully the man who was responsible for lighting the fire was his sensei, and not some random shinobi; Sasori would hate to get his hands messy before training. As he neared what appeared to be a bonfire, Sasori could see the man who would be training him. As the man asked where his student was, Sasori slightly turned his head to the side and laid his eyes upon his puppet. He then began to gently pet his puppet before replying to his new sensei.

We’re right here

The third stared at the puppet with his eyes calm and his mouth forming a big intimidating grin.

I see, you're a fan of me so you made a puppet that resembles me :3.
Hm, only skilled puppeteers may incorporate KG's into their puppets, you must be one of them. Very well i'll teach you Jiton with the iron sand form.

The third then stood up and with a flick of his wrist he created a magnetic field with his jiton chakra to gather up a small portion of iron sand right under him. The sand would take the form as a ball utilizing a focused magnetic field to shape the sand, then it would emerge from the ground. The third caught the ball in his hand and showed it to his new student.

Alright sport.

The third then tossed the ball of iron sand towards his student who would try to catch it only to have the ball of iron sand crumble in mid air and grains of it would get into his eyes and mouth.

Bwahahahahaa!! Tell me what you know of this technique. Weaknesses and strengths please and include what'd happen with all basic natural forms of chakra if they'd individually clash with iron sand. Also i want details and thoughts.

The third then sat himself down beside the bonfire again. Staring at his student with a grin..

Sasori kept his eyes focused on his sensei as he stared with a grin on his face at Sasori’s puppet. Sasori frowned at his sensei, seeing a puppet modeled after him must’ve made his sensei feel special. The puppeteer formally from the village of Sunagakure listened to the third kazekage as he spoke, stating that he would train Sasori in the arts of iron sand. Sasori couldn't help but let out a smile. Learning Iron Sand would open up new paths for him to use with his puppet of the third and become a deadlier foe to face in battle.

Not taking his eyes off of the third, Sasori watched his sensei stand up from the near bonfire and flick his wrist. Sasori then noticed what would appear to be of ball of iron sand emerging from the ground in front of the third. “Amazing” Sasori mumbled to himself as his sensei caught the ball and displayed it to him. As the third threw the ball towards it, Sasori then held out his right hand in attempt to catch the ball made of iron sand only to witness it crumble in mid-air which resulted in grains of sand falling into the eyes and mouth of Sasori.

I am a puppet too ya know, that's dangerous! Well, so much for a game of catch.

After shaking his head to do away with the grains, Sasori looked puzzled as his sensei broke into a laughter after the ball crumbled onto him. He didn’t see what was so funny, but he didn’t let his sensei teasing him with a game of catch distract him from his goal of learning. The third then proceeded to question Sasori on his knowledge of the technique and of Iron Sand.

What you just did seems to be a technique where the user is capable of molding iron sand from a nearby source to his heart’s desire but preferably a tool to be used for offense or defensive maneuvers. I would say that the many possibilities that the technique brings is a strong point and I didn’t notice you weaving together any hand seals which gives me the assumption that none are needed, but then again you are a master of performing techniques like this. Weakness wise, the formation of the tool being formed by the iron sand may give the opponent time to react. Also I don't see an attack such as this, doing fatal damage if used incorrectly.

As far as Iron Sand in general goes, it is neutral to all of the basic elements, which excludes ration. Because Iron sand techniques are essentially manipulated by magnetic forces, ration has the capabilities of disrupting these magnetic fields and thus disrupting iron sand techniques. Seeming that Iron Sand is neutral to the other basic four natures of chakra, a technique of the same rank or above would have to be put to use in order to potentially disrupt the direction of iron sand techniques if there was a clash of elements but due to the weight of iron sand and the magnetic field, this may not always be the case.

After he finished speaking, Sasori starred at his sensei who had once again got comfortable by the bonfire. He starred at the man, waiting for his response to Sasori’s knowledge of Iron Sand.

The third sat calmly at the fire and somewhat listened to the puppeteers speech. He then frowned a bit and looked in his student's eyes after he finished talking.

Yes it's true that iron sand only has one elemental weakness which is rare and actually making it very powerful.. Alas it makes up for being neutral to all the other elements thus limiting the sand to be strong against any of the remaining elements. Anyways it's time for you to learn the jutsus. But first..

I don't use iron sand to form a bouquet of flowers but sure thing. I use my brain on the field sport. Think tactical, iron sand is an element you could only limit to imagination thus ideal for battle.

Weakness wise, the formation of the tool being formed by the iron sand may give the opponent time to react.
Well that's how it is for all elements mostly. The fact you see the jutsu coming towards you isn't really a weakness for this Kekkei Genkai as you do so likewise for almost all jutsus.

Now then!

The third stood up once again. He then created a small magnetic field underground that would make pre-existing iron sand emerge. By utilizing the magnetic field further, he shaped the iron sand into sharp weapons such as kunais and shurikens. He then shot them towards a nearby tree which got cut down in an instant.

First lesson kid.

Perform this for me:

(Jiton: Satetsu No Jutsu) - Magnetism Release: Iron Sand Technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary/Attack/Defense
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Description: The user creates small weapons and defenses out of iron sand. The sand can be released from sand in the users possession or from the ground nearby.

Give me advantages and disadvantages of this technique. Also how you would use it and when you would use it. Tell me how to counter it as well as dodge it.

GOGOGOGOGOGOGOGOGOG!!! :D

The frown upon his sensei’s face indicated that Sasori may have not impressed the third with his evaluation of iron sand, but he was here to learn so mistakes were expected. Sasori listened carefully to his sensei’s input on Sasasori’s knowledge of iron sand, taking note of all the corrections he made.

He kept his eyes focused on the third as the man stood back up. Observing the man as he was in the process of creating a magnetic field, Sasori watched in awe. The third then created sharp weapons made of iron sand by utilizing the magnetic field. Sasori brought his attention to the sharp weapons made of iron sand and watched as they pierced through a nearby tree. Sasori smirked, although this may have been considered a weaker iron sand technique, the damage done by it was amazing. After the tree was destroyed in an instant, Sasori brought his focus back to the third who was now instructing him to perform the technique.

Sasori held his hands up in the air and created strings made of concentrated chakra. He then attached his chakra threads to the puppet that was remodeled after his sensei to perform the technique. Once in control of the kazekage puppet, Sasori had the puppet pour an abundance of iron sand from its mouth and onto the training grounds. Then using the techniques of the puppet, Sasori controlled the third to manipulate and create several tiny shurikens made of iron sand only to launch them towards another tree.

Admiring his work for a brief moment and then turning his attention back to the real third kazekage, Sasori began to give his assessment of the technique just performed, hoping that his sensei would be pleased. The road to mastering this element would be a long one and Sasori had much to learn.

Although a simple technique, this jutsu can prove to be useful in a battle. With the molding of iron sand, the user can create weapons intended for either offensive or defensive use which is an advantage. Depending on the situation of the battle and the user’s imagination, a technique like this can be used to kill, slow down, or distract the target to set up for something else. Disadvantage wise, the tools created from this technique aren’t that great in size so countering may prove to be easy.

I would personally use this technique to create kunais or shurikens to send at my opponent and quickly move onto the next jutsu or if the field is large enough and there is iron sand in place behind my opponent, I would form either kunais or tiny spikes of iron sand to attack my enemy from there blind spot. Seeming that the weapons created are small, to counter I would use a higher ranked elemental jutsu such as wind to clash with weapons and blow them away and out of harm. Lightning can obviously be used to disrupt the magnetic field before the iron sand is manipulated. A lid or similar technique could be used to drop from above and fall onto the weapons and stop them in their track

Sorry for some delay.

It would also defend you against chakra infused weapons with the exception of raiton infused weapons, and when i say weapons i mean kunais and shurikens etc. Basic ninja tools/weapons. The amount of iron sand isn't seemed limited to this jutsu thus you could basically create any kinds of weapons no matter size or shape however it's limited in force since you spread out 10 chakra points into an objective that is big thus not making the magnetic force being able to be concentrated. As a defensive use, i'd say it's great.

Yeah but throwing a kunai from your pocket seems a little faster than creating a kunai from iron sand so i think it's not really about the speed you want to use this technique, or.. rely on. You could definitely generate a weapon from any direction according to your opponent without them even noticing. Unless they see you do it of course, but i'd use this to create a shuriken from the ground behind my opponent and then slice his head off. Giggity.

Good job Puppeteer! Now then hm.

The third gathered up a small portion of magnetic chakra and created a field that would carry iron sand from the ground under him and form into a storm of senbons that where sent towards nearby trees. The senbons traveled so fast that they would penetrate the trees deep on impact. They would be lethal if they'd hit vital areas on a human.

( Jiton: Satetsu Niwakaame ) - Magnetism Release: Iron Sand Scattered Showers
Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 20
Description: The user by manipulating their iron sand will create several large senbon about one meter and half long in the air that then rain down upon the opponent piercing them. The sand can be released from sand in the users possession or from the ground nearby.

Now then, you give a shot. Since this technique is very similar to the previous one i just taught you, i just want you to perform it and give me a counter to it. GOGOGOGOGOGOGO!!!

No problem :)

Sasori stood back and watched on as his sensei created a magnetic field that served the purpose of carrying iron sand. The iron sand would quickly form into several senbons that were sent towards nearby trees, instantly penetrating through and destroying them. The sound of the trees colliding with the ground echoed throughout the area. Sasori mumbled to himself “I have a feeling there will be no more trees left after we’re done’.

It was now the puppeteers turn to practice the next technique that he would be using. With his chakra threads already attached to the third kazekage puppet, Sasori made a few gestures with his fingers that would manipulate the puppet to open its mouth and spew out some more iron sand that would fall onto the ground below. With the manipulation of his puppets and its abilities, the iron sand was formed into a several senbons, each around the size of 1m. Manipulating the puppet, Sasori sent the barrage of senbons towards a nearby tree. The senbons would penetrate the trees hit.

After the trees were destroyed, Sasori smirked and turned to face his sensei who was waiting for him to complete this task.

Ways to counter…well besides countering the senbons with weapons infused with ration chakra, a high ranked elemental body armor or wall should also protect the target. Submerging/going underground should also keep the target out of harm’s way if time is on their side.

Hi again, sorry for the delay...

Good Job! I would want to say the best way to counter it and not just defend against it would be a mediocre blast of wind that would send the senbons back towards the user. However magnetic waves can carry the senbons back again so the wind must overpower the magnetic chakra that is used to control the senbons.

This is the exact same technique but with more chakra put into the magnetic fields which only fuels the iron sand senbons more and makes them denser.

Jiton: Satetsu Shigure - Magnetism Release: Iron Sand Shower
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: The user transforms iron sand into multiple senbon and launches them toward the enemy. The sand can be released from sand in the users possession or from the ground nearby.

You don't need to perform it though as it's pretty much the same thing you just did.

Alright then, next up!

(Jiton: Satetsu No Tate) - Magnetism Release: Iron Sand Shield
Rank: C
Type: Defense
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: A shield made of iron sand that is perfect for defense from lesser attacks. The sand can be released from sand in the users possession or from the ground nearby

I am sure you're familiar with some other versions of this jutsu used by other elements. What i like about this one, however, is that you can still protect yourself from underground offensives. Since you have the options to gather iron sand from the ground, you can easily make the dome shape under the ground as well or if you already know that you're facing an attack that is coming from underground you can form your iron sand under you and neutralize the attack from there. Won't do good against raiton attacks above D-rank though. Now i want you to perform it for me.
