Here is the technique you will be learning.Waits for Alucard.![]()
You can have it active for as long as you focus chakra on your muscles. Notice on my bio I always have the technique already activated due to mastery over Taijutsu.I don't think I have any questions that would seriously affect my usage of this Jutsu, but I think I have one or two. There are some things I could ask about, like how in OP, CP9 agents couldn't move when using it, but since this is hardening the user through Chakra, and not just physical prowess, I can assume you can still move. If you couldn't it would make the boost to Taijutsu null, you know. Common sense and the OP Wiki answer any questions I may have about this technique.
There is however the case of usage. It doesn't state in the Jutsu how long this can remain active, or if there is a limit to its usage. Is there a limit for how long you can keep Tekkai active for? Or is it simply until you knead Chakra for another Jutsu? Besides that are there any limitations I need to be aware of, that aren't specified in the Jutsu itself?
Also, if you are cut deeply by a sword while this is active, then deactivate this Jutsu, would there be any negative after-effects from the cut? Of course the Jutsu would prevent any damage to muscles, and you can therefore still use them, but would the wound be any worse after deactivating Tekkai, besides the obvious bleeding?
Now, how I would use it, it obviously has many uses, both Offensive and Defensive. You could use it to increase the overall strength of a punch, making it hardier and able to deal more damage, or you could use it to withstand a physical attack yourself, with only superficial wounds, so long as the attack is made on a part of the body that has a decent amount of muscle mass. Like you noted in the Jutsu itself, areas like the ear, back of the knees, etc. have very little actual muscle mass, so to try and use this to defend a physical attack on such areas would be a waste of Chakra. It's also good that it can be used to defend physical Kenjutsu, since the users muscles become as hard as steel.
As for how this will be useful to me, Kenjutsu and Taijutsu are looking to be my best subjects, at the very least they are 2 of 3 subjects I have completed, so at the moment, they make up the base of my overall approach to a battle. With Tekkai I'd be able to engage in Close Quarter Combat situations confident in the knowledge that I can rely on it if I get into a pinch that involves Physical attacks. Besides that it looks like a nice way to support and strengthen any Taijutsu attack I perform. One of the weaknesses of Taijutsu is that when going against someone who uses Kenjutsu, they could simply cut the limb you're attacking with off. So with this, I can negate that weakness completely. If I'm not mistaken this Jutsu can also be used to withstand the physical effects of Elemental Ninjutsu. For example, using this to withstand Wind Jutsu that deal slashing damage to the user, or to completely overpower an Earth Jutsu, since your muscles will be stronger than the incoming attack, of course, this is only if the Rank of the Jutsu you are trying to withstand is lower than Tekkai (B-Rank or below).
If anything I've said is incorrect, please tell me, otherwise I hope this reply was enough to show my interest in, and understanding of, Tekkai.![]()
That's really cool then. So long as I don't divert Chakra for another technique, I can keep it up? Cool. And I may follow in your example with that usage, having it active all the time, or at least whenever possible, seems smart. You can have it active for as long as you focus chakra on your muscles. Notice on my bio I always have the technique already activated due to mastery over Taijutsu.
Okay, I thought as much, but I wanted to be sure. As for poisons and other such effects, I'll make sure and avoid them wherever possible. Now if you deactivate it after suffering a cut, you won't have any drawbacks. However this is only for physical damage. If somehow you're poisoned through the cut or the technique your opponent has other side effects that aren't related to a physical impact from the strike, you will still suffer from them.
That's a really good example, thanks. As for the counter-attacking instead of defending, then attacking aspect, gotta say, I love that part too, I guess I was mainly focusing on the simpler aspects of CQC instead of proper Counter Structure. It's cool that it has a variety of uses, even though it's a pretty simple and straightforward jutsu. On the usage I would also like to point that since you have this, you can directly counter-attack and not just defend and then attack. That's the aspect of the technique I like more and the aspect I think its users would benefit more from. If someone punches you, you can punch them at the same time without having to worry to defend from the punch. Of course you always need to have a backup plan in case they can suddenly use some kind of technique. An example would be fighting against a samurai. If he swings his sword at you you can even grab the sword and suffer only a superficial cut, however if he suddenly used the samurai sabre technique, he can cut you down!
As you step back and get ready to punch me, I prepare myself by tensing up the muscles in my torso, I don't add any Chakra to this process, I wasn't told too. But since I have basic Taijutsu completed and specialized, I would have decent muscle mass from the basic training you go through for Taijutsu, and this would therefore reduce the amount of pain I would feel from the punch. I'm still winded, cause being punched in the gut is no laughing matter, but at least I wouldn't feel the full force of the punch. Now let's see some endurance. Focus some of your strength on your abdominal area and prepare yourself, I'm going to punch you
*I take a step back and do a single punch on your stomach with some strength that would make a normal person feel some pain*
I'd say it doesnt because it's not unfocused. You flow your chakra into your muscles to harden them.Oh, quick question. Since you channel Chakra into various parts of the body to make the muscles tougher, does it count as a full body surge?
After recovering from the last punch, I tense up the muscles in my abdomen, this time adding Chakra to enhance and alter the strength of the muscles. This makes them incredibly resistant to physical attacks because the chakra affects the muscles overall density making them harder (Much like Kakuzu's Earth Spear, but that channels Earth Chakra throughout the entire body, not just the muscles, and doesn't just make them harder through reinforcement, and actually pseudo-petrifies the user, making physical attacks completely useless, almost like they are punching rock).
It requires something incredibly powerful to pierce or overpower the muscles, and this makes normal, even full-force punches completely ineffective. As you punch me there is a mighty *thud*, but not much else. If you weren't a Master of Taijutsu yourself, you may have broken your hand after punching muscles that were enhanced and reinforced in such a way.
