What parents would name their kid Itachi which is weasel in Japanese, imagine all the teasing that kid would go through

Teacher: introduce yourself to the class

Itachi: I am weasel!

Random Student: IR Baboon!

I'm fairly sure there is a deeper meaning then "weasel".

I remember it was something with crows and mythology.

actually Itachi is literally translated as Weasel in Japanese.

You must be registered for see images

so when you hear Japanese people screm "EEEK ITACHI!" it literally means they got batshit scared of weasels.

Practically all names have a meaning - even the Western names. My name for example means something like honey bee in Greek.

The Japanese people are used to names having specific meanings so they aren't bothered with it and they are not likely to tease someone about their name, unless it's a really girly name for a guy for example.
