My 3 year term is finally over with my shitty Windows Phone and I can't decided whether to go with iPhone or Android. I would like to hear some of your guys opinion on which phone you personally think is better.

If you can handle being able customize your phone to your liking, then go Android. If you like simplicity to the max, then go iOS.

Personally (and in the opinion of many techies), Android >>>>>>>>>>>> iOS.

I'd go with Android. iPhone just has emoji and better camera IMO. With Android, your downloads are way more free and have a larger range.

But the App Store is far better in terms of quality and I believe about equal to Google Play.

God, I've used Android and it's just so anaemic that people who seek an enjoyable experience will find themselves bored quite quickly. The Google Play store does surpass the App Store in terms of junk apps though. It's true that Apple is somewhat more restricted on downloading but overall long term satisfaction is higher and there are workarounds.

I personally prefer iPhone, since I haven't have the greatest run with Android. But research both of them, and buy the one you want for you, and your needs, and of course the OS you prefer.

Android. As an iPhone user, I can tell you they are nothing but trouble (especially iOS7)

What do you want out of your phone?

iPhone is iPhone. You don't have a selection of hardware outside of storage space (if that) - and it represents a highly conformal user experience.

Android has a lot more flavors of experience that depends partly upon your service provider, and partly upon your phone manufacturer. Of the Korean companies - I prefer LG, and I've always had good experiences with their products (you will find others who claim the opposite - it's kind of like cars). Of the 'American companies' (if you can call them that, anymore) - I still prefer Motorola (Last I checked, Texas Instruments didn't make phones - or not ones in the consumer market, at least).

Android is an open platform and has a lot more whiz-bangs made for it. You'll find that some programs come with applets that take advantage of specific groups of hardware on your phone (if present). There are also a number of applications available outside of the Google market that are free and/or open source projects.

If you're just looking for a smart phone that can make calls, browse the internet, play a few time-killing games - that sort of thing, then you'll find both offer very comparable experiences - though I, myself, prefer the Android UI to the iPhone button (that I refuse to consider a true UI).

Generally - your android phones can run cheaper than an iPhone for comparable performance and quality. You can also go more expensive than an iPhone with an android phone designed to out-benchmark laptops (or something).

I like high-performance shiny things in the tech world - so I tend to gravitate toward Android phones. That said - Google has been taking a number of steps, lately, (such as disabling flash support) that make them identical to Apple in terms of corporate ethics and mentality. So, I will probably be in the market for a Linux phone before too much longer. Or just use a wireless modem with Linux portable device on skype to make all of my phone calls. It would be cheaper in the long run, I think.

Android is more open, iOS works better ... As simple as that

It also depends which phone you would want to buy
The only reason I have a Galaxy S4 over the iPhone is the bigger screen

I like Iphone's simplicity. Android is nice too. Both are very efficient.

Look more into the physical specs of the phone. Screen size, speed etc and see which one is for you.

I'd say android for me. My last two phones were Iphones, and I must say, it's nice to use something different.
