Battling Rules
  • CJs and CEs are forbidden. The point of this competition is for all contestants to be on equal ground.
  • You have permission to use the Ion Particle Armor during your matches, however you will be able to keep it activated for only 3 turns each match. Use it smartly.
  • Keep in mind the fact that once the armor is activated you may use only the Lightning element. You can, of course still use Taijutsu, Genjutsu, etc.
  • All battles should be named similarly to this: "[IPA Tournament] -your name- vs -your opponent's name-"
  • After the fight concluded the winner shall post the link to the thread of the fight on this here thread.(repetition ftw)
  • Try not to post anything other than the results of your matches on this thread.
  • Whoever is first in his/her bracket shall create the thread(for example Frozenstein is the first in his bracket, Vayne is the first in his, etc.)
  • All fights should be concluded by the 6th of June. If 3 days go by without replying you are automatically disqualified. In case you are faced with a problem which doea not allow you to reply in the timespan of 3 days, you must announce me and your opponent in due time.

Animal Asura Deva Preta

Without a word or signal, Pein began moving in unison. Slamming his hands on the wet ground, Deva erects a 5 meter wide pillar of earth beneath you at high speed making it hard to move due to the pressure. At the same time, Animal and Naraka jump backwards into long range as Asura and Preta jump high in the air. Preta forms a handseal as he ascends near Asura transforming into a small monkey no taller than foot and a half clinging to Asura's left arm. Asura himself reveals a cannon in one of his extra arms and fires a highly concentrated chakra beam at you. Human is always facing the two behind to keep them in sight.

Other than being moved below ground relative to the surrounding surface the terrain is not altered, plant life and people retaining their same positions.

Gin suddenly is risen up 5 meters. He keeps his focus as the ground rises and watches the 6 opponents in front of him. Suddenly one of the opponents arm transforms into a canon and Gin knows that can't be good. Gin focuses wind chakra and forms a brief set of 2 hand seals and shoots out a compressed wind blast that heads out a little after the release of the beam. Colliding with each other and continuing on towards the rest of the paths. Due to it's large size, it's easily take out the beam and it'll take out the remaining paths at mid range. Gin then focuses his chakra underneath all the paths and forms two hand seals and creates a swamp underneath all the paths. Starting at the location all the others one are at and extending back 20 meters from that location. Swamp is 25 meters deep and goes mid range in width and long range length.

Description: The user will first perform Boar → Tiger and then by changing the surface of an object beneath an enemy into mud and creating a non flammable swamp, the user can sink his enemy into the mud. The adhesive, chakra-infused mud ensnares the enemy's body, making it almost impossible to recover one's strength and escape from the swamp. The size and depth of the created swamp depends on the user's skill and the amount of chakra used, but if the user is an expert in this technique, it will always be possible to make a fair-sized swamp which is extremely effective against a great number of enemies or when having to face gigantic creatures.

After all that, Gin looks at the crowd of sinking shinobi o-o forming one hand seal and two clones appear. one on each side of him. Aizen and Tosen.

(Kage Bunshin no Jutsu) - Shadow Clone Technique

Gin feels the ground shaking, he can infer its an attack of earth from under him and most likely an earth attack. He focuses lightning to his feet and runs small lightning bolts through the ground short range all around. Cancel out the earth chakra and stopping the technique. Gin forms one hand seal and creates two clones immediately after. The clones

When the clones come into existence they know what to do. Aizen releases a large lightning storm and destroys everything in front of them. Destroying the missles and continuing on to the crowd at mid range. Gin and tosen begin their movement. Gin goes around Aizen and makes his way to the left, Tosen his way to the right. Keeping their eyes on the opponents.

Seeing your clones appear and a massive chidori covering Aizen's hand, Deva forms a handseal (wind specialty) and exhales several large wind blades at varying angles that overpower the lightning and move onto Aizen. At the same time, Asura hurls 10 black rods at both running men utilizing his multiple arms. Also Animal summons a giant bird beneath him and Naraka flying toward your left about 10 meters above the ground while staying just within a long range distance of you. Right after releasing his wind jutsu, Deva slams his hands on the ground once more, this time spawning a massive amount of water 10 meters above you all like a wide waterfall crashing down on you and dispersing the clones if they weren't gone yet.

As the wind blades are released, all the clones and Gin see this and act in unison. Tosen form one hand seal, and puts all the paths in a genjutsu. Blinding them and causing them with their linked vision to not be able to see. Gin makes one hand seal him at the same time and slamming his hand into the ground a lightning pillar explodes from underneath the opponents at mid range. The pillars with large enough to stop just 8 meters from the clones and Gin. Since the rods were shot from long range, they'd get destroyed by the pillar due to it's width. Blind and no sensory, they'd be totally caught off.

( Kokuangyo no Jutsu ) - Bringer-of-Darkness Technique

The technique can affect a bigger or smaller area depending on the users will.

Aizen hears the wind collide and knows he doesn't have much time. He releases fire dragons that attack and cancel out the wind. All hand seals happen at the same time.

(Katon: Ryūen Hōka no Jutsu) - Fire Release: Dragon Flame Release Song Technique

Description: After performing the hand seal Tiger the user compresses a large amount of chakra built up inside their body, before instead expelling it in the form of a number of dragon head-shaped fireballs. The user then skilfully manipulates that great fire, and attacks their opponent. The temperature of the created flames is so great that, even with the briefest of contact, they are capable of easily burning human flesh and the fireballs are dense enough to behave almost as solid, being able to deliver impact damage in adition to the fire damage. However, this also means that they can be deflected as a solid projectiles.

As your techniques are executed, Animal and Naraka who are out of the genjutsu's range notice chakra pooling beneath the others so he claps his hands and summons them atop the giant bird with him out of harm's way. Deva proceeds with his water jutsu that summons a huge waterfall 10 meters over all of you. After saving the other Paths, Animal claps his hands once more and a giant two-headed dog drops to the ground and dashes toward you in a zig-zagging manner, pouncing on Gin and crushing him beneath its paw.

To summon the creature the ninja will wipe blood on his hand, perform the Boar → Dog → Bird → Monkey → Ram handseals and then touch the ground or another object, where a sealing formula will appear. Though it appears that as long as significant pressure is placed against the blood in some form, the summon will be complete, most summoning uses use a solid surface, though in some cases it can even be done mid air. There can be variations to the summoning steps, some ninja like Temari will wipe blood on her fan, then by swinging the fan the animal is summoned. Other ninja like Orochimaru wipe the blood across a snake tattoo on their arm first, then touch the ground. Others will clap their hands directly like Nagato through the use of his Animal Path. The user must have signed the contract with the creature he wants to summon but the technique can be used to summon a generic creature of that contract (B-Rank) which will have no special traits or abilities beyond those normal to the rest of the animals in the contract. The animal is always summoned on the mark that appears upon slamming the users hand or, if not the case, always in short range of the user. Animal and Naraka monitor their surroundings and the other paths while they fly to their destination.

Every time the dog takes a hit, the user may choose to use the amplification summoning technique to create additional dogs, thus escaping the damage caused. The dog is shown to be highly durable and can resist B rank and below techniques.

Every time the dog takes a hit, the user may choose to use the amplification summoning technique to create additional dogs, thus escaping the damage caused. The dog is shown to be highly durable and can resist B rank and below techniques.

They notice the get summoned back to long range and deva slamming his hand to the ground. The clones and Gin act again, the two clones work together and Aizen forms 4 hand seals while Tosen forms two. Suddenly a portal opens up and drops sticky earth on the whole gang of paths. Then not even a second later, 4 pillars rise up creating a mid range barrier all around with the paths in the middle. It sprays electricity everywhere in the vicinity. If animal path does get the other summon out, he will just be summoned into the shock and be paralyzed.

It’s normally followed up by Lightning release: sixteen pillar bind to create a giant oven around the opponent and then using Fire release: Firing biscuit technique to ignite the oven, hardening the mud and immobilizing the enemy target.

As deva slams his hand and the water falls, Gin simply takes out a prewritten scroll with the kanji for water on it. He releases the seal and it sucks in all the water into the scroll and seals it completely.

Seeing four giant pillars rise up around Pein, Animal does not summon the giant dog into this situation and instead Deva places his hands on the giant bird to lighten its body to 1/10 it's original weight. This boosts the speed of the already fast flying summon and allows it to escape the range of the technique before they could be shocked. Meanwhile, Asura's head opens and charges chakra within before firing a focused beam at Aizen, the resulting blast taking out gin and Tosen as well. Once they've escaped the lightning jutsu, Deva exhales a massive stream of flames covering a huge range and incinerating all three of you at once. As he releases the stream the bird flies closer to you entering mid-range but still circling you at high velocity.

Description: Contrary to its counterpart (the Earth Release: Added-Weight Rock Technique), instead of making the target heavier, this technique makes it much lighter, though still using the same principle and mechanics. The user will make direct contact with the given target (through his hands), infusing them with earth chakra and lowering their weight drastically. The technique can lower a targets weight up to 10 times less than it originally had. This allows freer manipulation of the affected objects, which would normally carry considerably more weight and as such, require a greater amount of exertion to move. The technique can be used on the user or other shinobi to increase their speed, but as a consequence of using it this way, it results in the decrease of the physical force of their blows. The same principle applies if used on a physical attack wich will be faster but will carry less momentum and as such, less physical damage. It doesn't change the "strength" of binding techniques (like Sand Release), where the user is manipulating a dynamic element but will decrease the impact damage of techniques that rely on it.
Note: The initial effects last for 2 turns or until countered.

When it was used by Madara Uchiha, the massive scale of the technique was such that, in comparisson, his incomplete Susanoo seemed small. The main advantage of the technique is that it can be used to burn large areas in an effect in everything similar to a flamethrower.

As you start to move faster than you should, our group goes into action again. Aizen after his technique fails, immediately he focuses his earth chakra and large pillars explode up underneath and in front of and each side of the bird up to mid range from their location in all directions. At the same time, Tosen releases a water bullet towards you that takes out the leader and continues towards the paths. If they release the fire, it will be taken out also. Gin releases fire at the sky and creates stormy clouds.

As giant pillars of rock erupt from the ground below them, Animal claps his hands and a summoning formula appears beneath the bird, from it a giant Ox appears. Its appearance pushes the bird up because of its sheer size which also allows it to intercept all of the pillars in their stead before disappearing. Pein also notices the powerful water stream heading at them and the fireballs being shot so Deva focused chakra in the clouds above you and creates dozens of spiral rain spears launched down with a handseal, dousing the fireballs and raining down on each of you. As this happens, the giant bird flies strait at the incoming water stream which is effortlessly absorbed by Preta taking a position near the very front of the bird with Asura. After absorbing the attack, Pein jumps off the bird as it dives strait at you and rams you with its beak. Animal, Naraka, and Human throw 16 exploding kunai at all of you in mid-air before they all land mid range from you in this formation. When in range, the exploding tags are detonated with a handseal.

Gin sees the rain take out the fire and knows an ameton technique was used. Tosen forms one hand seal and blinds the rest of the gang and dies via Rain technique. Gin gets to work, with the whole gang blind, Gin activates dark convergence which allows him to basically teleport. He teleports behind the guy that's been using all the elemental jutsu. One there, he deactivates his keigoku and activates chidori into his lightning spear and stabs him through his head. Destroying his skull. Needless to say kunais and what not go by.

( Kokuangyo no Jutsu ) - Bringer-of-Darkness Technique

Description: The user will focus and open 4 human sized portals, one on each side of his body and a metre away from him, allowing massive amounts of Keigoku to pass through the portals and flow onto him. This large influx of chakra reacts with the symbol that every clansman has branded on them and causes it to go haywire, so to speak. Instead of projecting and guiding Keigoku, it causes the Keigoku to travel inwards, filling the user's tenketsu with keigoku, warping it's usage and causing the chakra to flow inwards, preventing Ninjutsu or genjutsu usage as long as it is active as the chakra cannot be molded correctly. As the Keigoku flows inwards, it corrupts the user at the very core, literally turning him into a solid manifestation of Keigoku, causing building damage to the user over a series of turns. Taijutsu attacks are augmented through the usage of this, adding properties of being exposed to Keigoku with each strike that lands.
Unfortunately, there are more drawbacks than benefits; the longer the user has this jutsu active, the more at risk he is of fatally harming himself from the reverted flow of chakra. If active for longer than two turns, upon deactivation the user can only use taijutsu attacks for two turns as it takes time for the user's tenketsu to start it's correct flow. The user also can not use any Keigoku techniques of S-rank and higher while this is active. While this is active, the user is vulnerable to sealing jutsus that seal away elements and/or jutsus.
The Nekura requires special training and must be Black Knight or above to utilize this jutsu. To add to this, this jutsu can only be used twice, lasting at a maximum of 3 three turns each turn with a build up period of at least 2 turns in between usage.

(Raiton: Chidori) - Lightning Release: One Thousand Birds

Description: The user must first perform the following sequence of hand seals Ox → Rabbit → Monkey → Dragon → Rat → Bird → Ox → Snake → Dog → Tiger → Monkey and they will then focus lightning chakra into their hand to create a lightning jutsu that is concentrated in the user's palm and thrusted toward the opponent at high speed. The lightning in the user's palm sounds like birds chirping, hence the name, and allows the user to perform high grade cutting damage or high penetration piercing thrusts.
Note: Someone who mastered lightning release can perform chidori with just the Ox hand seal.
Note: Uchiha Sasuke and Kakashi Hatake bios can use the technique without handseals

Despite Better's final move sounding like total BS with the whole "teleport" thing which isn't really stated in the jutsu, his overall competence in this battle was slightly superior. Not by much, though. Ushiro's moves felt really... spammed; just abusing certain things because of your multiple bodies, this passage is a main example: "Deva forms a handseal (wind specialty) and exhales several large wind blades at varying angles that overpower the lightning and move onto Aizen. At the same time, Asura hurls 10 black rods at both running men utilizing his multiple arms. Also Animal summons a giant bird beneath him and Naraka flying toward your left about 10 meters above the ground while staying just within a long range distance of you. Right after releasing his wind jutsu, Deva slams his hands on the ground once more, this time spawning a massive amount of water 10 meters above you all like a wide waterfall crashing down on you and dispersing the clones if they weren't gone yet.". Better's lack of sheer originality(in my opinion at least) was boring, yeah, but he got the job done. I suppose.
