Typhoon is a very recently discovered form of the original wind style and shares the same logic(i guess) as when Darui created black lightning instead of regular one. What is known is that the Taiton release is producing black or dark winds instead of regular(green-white-ish ones) and have stronger attributes such as resistance towards fire + advantage of not only lightning but also earth releases. Taiton so far has only been practiced by one ninja who came from Sunagakure, leaving a trace of bloodline connections(maybe). The dark winds that has been seen created so far are the forms of typhoons only leaving the release i guess kind of restricted always having to pertain the typhoon shape(maybe it can be controlled with shape manipulation, i don't know really). What i do know is that it's a more badass version of my favorite basic element, has no elemental weakness and is very unexplored. I will hopefully have a lot of fun developing the release.

 

[Detective L]

"Alright, it is indeed a stronger Wind release, and is untapped in terms of potential. Though like you said, its highly constrained now, and can be fully explored by looking at smaller usages than its current more wider, expanded usages. It can indeed be more than just Typhoons, or in the shape of those, and can basically be used for more destructive usages than Wind. Either way, at your current state.."

I said, as I looked at you.

"..It seems we won't be dealing with the existing techniques. However, we will be able to discuss anything you wish to know about the element, or simply wish to try and develop it in the mean time, till you are ready to proceed with the larger techniques?"

I asked, my eyes focused on the student before me.

Zora listened and waited for her teacher to finish. Looking him in the face with two bright sparkles in her eyes as he asked if she had ideas.

"I.. Have ideas and ambitions to create techniques that could be used by people who weren't at the greater ranks or potent enough to create the existing techniques. Something that doesn't necessarily need to deal blunt damage but also strategic options and defenses. But when will i be able to do so?"

 

[Detective L]

I looked at her, eager to start developing her own techniques. Perhaps it was a good sign.

"You can indeed start, I believe you are currently constrained to techniques of C rank and below, so techniques that fall within that criteria can be made. I am eager to see what you develop."

I stated, knowing that she would indeed create something of value.

How exciting, Zora could start developing her own techniques albeit simple ones. She couldn't wait to take the release out on the battlefield and showcase the brute force of the dark wind element.

The confusing part about this technique is the amount of handseals needed to create it. It's the first introduced typhoon technique we ever saw and is pretty basic *cough compared to the customs i made so far cough*

Quick Q tho, against the basic wind element, is typhoon surperior? T’s an advanced form but not listed as strong towards it in s/w.

Description: The user summons a massive tornado, intense enough to not only dwarf a Complete Body — Susanoo, but also match it. Despite its power, the technique has an exploitable flaw. The user is left defenseless at the eye of the storm. Should the enemy reach it, they can easily counter with a suprise attack.
Note: Can only be used once every two turns

"A pretty simple attack where you technically cover yourself with a massive tornado. This can be used to basically face off against strong attacks with ease. However, you are susceptible at the center of the storm."

As seen in the anime it is strong enough to dwarf a perfect susano'o as well. It'd be a 360 degree **** everything kind of move with the roof on top as a "weakness". I guess if the eye of the storm wasn't existing in the first place the user would be dead as well so i'm not sure if it's really a weakness xd.

"Pretty much, but once you have a technique that basically messes with the user of this technique before they can initiate it, or a technique that spawns on them, you'd easily be able to disrupt it. Nonetheless, that's it."
