Have you guys ever met people who assume you are slow because you :
A. watch cartoons(anime included)/play games
B.a shy person
C. Have introverted characteristics
D. All of the Above.
I really don't see the problem with a person wanting to stay home and watch anime/play games instead of hanging with a crowd of people or partying.No,I'm not saying partying is bad or hanging with people is bad but I've met people who criticized others for being introvert or liking certain things. I'm not a complete introvert because I have some extrovert characteristics (ambivert) but I met people who fail to understand that nothing is wrong with me. I remember I was at college and people kept coming to my room at 6-8 pm to hang out and it bothered me because I was just getting out of class and wanted to relax and gather my thoughts and do my homework. I told these people that I needed a little time to collect myself because I was drained of energy and I need to relax and have some time alone and I was called mean.Sometimes I maybe be at a gathering and I might just sit down quietly and someone say"Oh, is that girl slow?"I tend to have to tell these people off and make them eat their words. I remember I was hanging out with my cousin and her friends asked her if I was slow because I didn't use slang.She told me what they say and I had to confront them. I even met people who think I'm slow because I watch anime and play games.I was told that I show look at "reality tv"< isn't most of that stuff fake and staged? Some of my family members think I'm wasting my life away by chilling at home.I don't know if they forget I'm trying to pursuit a career in nursing...I mean they do know that I'm in college. One of my family members told me she doesn't want me to waste my life and be sad when I get older so I shouldn't be in my room a lot because it"unhealthy to have introvert tendencies ".She also told me I should change the way I act. I asked her if she wants me to just start acting fake around her because it seems like she can't accept me for me. I can be shy at times and someone asked if I was slow because they felt that "shy people are slow."....Sometime I can go out and have fun and be really active but it really depends on the situation and who I'm with. A lot of people (students at my college and people who don't know me well)assume I'm a super social butterfly because I'm a bit more energetic in public and at school. Almost forgot to add this: when I was in highschool people flocked to me because of my clothing but assumed I was failing class because I was quite.They were shocked when I ranked 3rd in my class.

) but otherwise I don't try at all. My friends think I'm weird for that but I don't see the point in it. I'm leaving for the Air Force soon(Hopefully) so what's the point of starting a relationship that I'll just have to end.
