Okay, so I had a hard time naming the thread, give me some slack, I didn't have a clue what to call it. ^_^
My brother (we're white) and I were working late at our retail store as always, when these two white dudes walked in at around 7:30 p.m. (it's night). One of them had turrets though, plus he was a coke dealer or something and hopped up on who knows what. After a while my bro chased them out, and we were both ready for a fight and had 911 ready to go. The guy also shouted something about shooting us while he was outside.
So we lock the doors, but let in people that aren't those two guys. This big black dude comes in soon after that, and suddenly my bro are both thinking "Oh, the big black guy is here, we're safe now, we don't need the cops just yet" Rofl. He was big too, my brother is large but this guy could take him easily, despite that we felt safe because this guy was calm and collected. Big guys don't fight either, they know they'll always go to jail. ^_^
We even told the dude we were glad he was there, and he was down with that too, but didn't need to say so nor did. Race has nothing to do with anything, there was a sense of insecurity among people of our own race, and security with someone of another race.
Tomorrow, it might be the exact opposite. Some black dudes come in acting all scary, then they leave and some older white gentleman with a conceal carry permit shows up, and now you feel safe. You know that dude's cool, he's not going to do anything, and he's certainly honest because most likely he's a man of faith. (Don't ask me why I had to go with a stereotype example...>.>)
It's about the person, not the color, and the guys I dealt with today were better dressed than the big dude that showed up later. You can just tell, you get the right vibe from someone, don't judge there appearance.
This thread was created in hopes that a real life situation may affect someone to think differently about a certain group of people they may dislike or even fear. Also, it was made so that people could say: "I agree", "F**k you", "tl;dr", "I think racism sucks", "Why don't racists kill themselves", "I don't want to live on this planet anymore", "The poster is gay", "Why don't Unicorns fly", "I like turtles" and to post random memes, get in a race war, then have my thread shut down... Thanks in advance. ^_^
