In japanese folklore JIRIYA is the name of a legendary warrior.....a warrior who saved the world from darkness....

It's implied he's a perver and was married to a magic healer named TSUNADE!!

The Japanese folklore story of this JIRIYA is a love story........



KISHIMOTO VERSION IS A STORY OF LOSS/LONELINESS/love : JIRIYA a pervert.......Tsunade a woman whose lost a lot...

Instead of pairing them together kishimot flipped the script and made it a tragic love story.....girl losses a lot never pays attention to boy....

And moment girl finally opens up and feels something for boy he DIES.......(pain vs JIRIYA)


I've been studying japanese folklore at school and MASASHI KISHIMOTO INCORPORATES HUGE AMOUNT of Japanese culture into Naruto the series!!!

Tsunade never gave JIRIYA any mind....she was to lost in her world of pain.....after lossing her brother and Dan she closed herself up....

It's sad that the ENTIRE TIME JIRIYA was the dude for her.......

You should read the ORIGIONAL story and then compare it to the one in Naruto.....it's pretty depressing
