Very rarely do I not like an anime I watch on the first go. Eden of the East is the best first episode I've seen so far, but one that really forced me to keep going was definitely Steins;Gate.

Soul Eater and Death Note. I mean, I guess anything I followed from the first episode I saw, but definitely Death Note. Soul Eater's first episodes are full of stupid Japanese humor I really dislike, so I have no idea why I kept going, but I did and it became my favorite manga ever.

Sword Art Online got me hooked the most of any anime/manga ever, the rest of the anime falls flat though.
Death Note also got me hooked on the first episode.
Attack on Titan's beginning was also amazing.
Fate/Zero too.
Code Geass too.
Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom too.

I swear that there were more but I just can't seem to think of more that got me hooked instantly.

SAO, DN and AOT probably had the best beginnings for me.

I like others, but they didn´t quite catch me as this one. But hey, I will name at least some of them:

- Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari
- Shokugeki no Soma (I really liked the art)

I´ve based these on the first chapter, I like many others ^^
