Better feats in genetic engineering, complex reasoning (discovering both what was on the Uchiha tablet and Obito's identity) and toxicology (creating from scratch an anti-mokuton poison and inserting Oro's in his own body)

1) Tsunade was older than Kabuto and even she said he was greater than her at her prime. Plus no Gaiden/Boruto feats imply that she managed to catch up to him
2) I know, but in the realm of battle strategies Shikamaru is by both feats, portrayal and hype above Sakura, while she excels in this other area

Admittedly, most of Shikamaru's reported intelligence is hype. It's like Kishi and SP have to remind us that Shikamaru is the smart one.

Kabuto, Oro, Danzo, Kakashi, Karin, Shino, Tobirama, Minato, Hiruzen etc all have high intellect and they demonstrate it by what they do, and the jutsus they learn.
