Intelligence means nothing when comparing others in Naruto

yeah he was smart, you see he did that with his shadow clones, hundreds of them vs Gaara w/ Kurama's chakra
Sasuke figured out Danzo's eye capabilities and beat him with them while using genjutsu and timing
and also sheer will power..

Naruto is intelligent. Like his father he is quick to come up with a plan, or in naruto's classic case deception. the leaf's number one most unpredictable ninja? He is just noted for not understanding literature/discussions of ninjitsu.... this is done by kish so that he can explain more about ninjitsu and how it works to us the audience. However, Lefts conciser another ninja that is not "intelligent" Kiba.

His manner of attack is straight on brute force. While most of his attacks are just that. He is sophisticated in one form of intelligence, battle alertness. His senses are on a whole another level. He perceives, reacts, and works together in his team wither just akamaru or in a jonin level team to take down his opponents.

So I agree a ninja needs some basic skill set to react to their surroundings. But intelligence is a major skill to out wit/ understand what is happening so you can react. ( that's why the base rates these character so high)

-When discussing Naruto you cannot leave out Kurama, they are one.
--Kurama is a tailed beast who has saw the worst and the best in people and have 1000's of years of experience. And with that he can easily pass information on to Naruto just like how Bee and the 8 tails communicates.

Naruto has shown that he's smart, sure, but kishi protrayed him as an idiot in the beginning. Everyone called naruto a fool .Naruto was basically the village idiot of the story. It doesn't matter if he sits down and does quantum mechanics and string theory, he doesn't escape the 'village idiot' title that his author labeled on him. Forever an idiot

P.S Kishi did make naruto out to be an idiot. He still is. All the time you hear characters say "That one's not that smart is he". Just recently mizukage basically called naruto an idiot. Not my fault kishi labels him an idiot. Fanboy.
