The images are indeed gruesome but i think it is a matter of one's point of view, take me for example, i am a vegetarian i do not eat any kind of meat, and when ever i walk past a meat shop where they keep those chicken's and other animals or when i see people eating them, i get the same sick feeling as this one, but those who eat non veg won't feel a thing because it is there daily meal and they are used to seeing\eating dead animals, so calling them wrong for the act would not be wise for me, because they can not think\see that act, the way i do.

So i think the writer of that article is a complete biased person who does not deserve the reputation of a journalist (if he is one).

*Please take note that i mean no offence to anyone*

Should Westerners stop eating cows just because Indians find it disgusting to eat cow meat, they cherish cows even more than how Westerners cherish their pet, no one should judge another culture based on his own perspective.

goats, cows, chiken, ducks, fish, pigs etc. are all treated the same way, you only think its weird because you werent born there, many culutres find stuff that we eat horrible but if they say anything there treated as weird. why should dogs be treated any differently to other animals, sure it might seem weird to you but its just as morally correct as slaughtering thousands of animals a day for food.

Cultures around the world are very different. I don't get why some people still don't get this. I'm Filipino, and I admit, we do eat dog (but I personally haven't eaten one yet), but what's the wrong in that? If you eat meat, but then criticize another group of people for eating meat of another animal that is not prepared in your culture, then they're a major bunch of hypocrites. Meat is meat, simple as that, and of it's edible, then why aren't you allowed to eat it?
In the Philippines, they eat Balut, a broiled unhatched egg (well, I don't really know how to describe it). Yeah, they eat the fetus inside it. Sure, it may sound REALLY disgusting (which it probably is haha), but it's a delicacy there. And take France (or Italy. Always get those two confused). They eat Snails. I find that way more disgusting than Balut, but hey, I can't just go in public yelling that France (or Italy) is inhumane for eating such a weird delicacy, and something that is very foreign to our diet.

So yeah, just my opinion on this matter.

Dog meat is meat. I don't see how dogs can't be eaten but cows, pigs, chickens etc can be. It's not like they're not slaughtered either. I've eaten dog before, umad? Can't say it tasted great, but it's still a dish.

Thanks for your opinion and that was really informing about your culture. :)
