Anyway, so you want to get tattoo'd, eh? Tell me what you know about Ink Control, both the substance itself as well as how it interacts with opponents and techniques. What are its strengths, weaknesses, and drawbacks as an Advanced Ninjutsu that requires a source to be performed?
Tattoo'd? I just wanted to be able to draw my own hentai. >_>
Ink is the ability to bring to drawings to life using chakra. Ink is a very viscous liquid substance and thus if an opponent gets covered their movements get restricted lowering their agility. Ink can also be used to blind people lowering their dex.
As for S/W, I'll be honest I always thought that Ink was weak to elemental but Ink has no S/W? The biggest draw back would be having to draw on a physical object, such as a scroll. Unless you take the specialty that allows you to just draw in the air.

Ink is more than just bringing drawings to life, it's imbuing chakra into a substance to control it in all forms, be it drawings, seals, or its sludge-like form. Yes, Ink is able to reduce the AP of opponents, primarily Dexterity and Agility, but keep in mind the rules about de-buffing opponents:
"Effective immediately, Debuffing an opponent’s speed OR Tracking will count towards your own Speed or Tracking Boosts. This means that if you were to decrease the opponent’s speed by 5, you can only apply one ( 1 ) speed boost to yourself. This also holds true for any tracking debuff. This rule is designed to be like the Damage rules and hopefully, make speed blitzing less frequent or less of a strategy." - RP Update
So you'll have to be careful if you're running your own boosts and augmentations. Ink is neutral to most releases as it's really just Adv Nin. If you infuse elemental chakra into the Ink it gains those S/W's. And yea, you need a supply of scrolls and ink to utilize this Ninjutsu and you have to physically draw them, which would be your version of performing handseals, before releasing the technique. Of course, Specialties can help with this such as the one you mentioned and Sourceless Materialization.
Break these down for me. How do they work separately, and what if you combined them?
( Sumi Bunshin ) - Ink Clone
Type: Supplementary
Rank: C
Range: Short - Long
Chakra: 15
Damage: N/A
Description: The user creates a clone made of ink that takes the appearance of the user. This clone can only use Ink Ninjutsu up to A rank.
( Ninpou: Choujuu Giga ) - Ninja Art Beast Imitation
Type: Supplementary/Offensive
Rank: C
Range: Short - Long
Chakra: 15
Damage: 30
Description: The user uses ink to draw up to 4 animals at a time, allowing them to attack their targets in a variety of ways. While these animals must all be the same type when created, they are able to physically function similarly to their real life counterparts, albeit unique abilities such as venom in spiders, etc. These animals do share physical traits such as wings, horns, and fangs and are able to be up to 5 meters in size.
Note: Creates up to 4 animals.
Note: Although animals must be the same, this does not mean each has to be the same size.
Creates a clone of Ink that can only use Ink up to A rank.
Beast Imitation:
Create up to 4 animals of the same type. Same physical appearance, no unique abilities. Max 5 meters in size.
Outside of just using the clone as a clone and preforming beast imitation twice in the same timeframe creating 8 animals, I've got nothing. Im really getting stuck on the whole drawing thing, because in my mind the creations have to be made near the user at the very least.

Yep, they're pretty basic but together can create an army. Also Ink drawings spawn directly from the symbols made, which would be from right under your hand, so short ranged. If you were hung up on my Sourceless Materialization suggestion, it would apply to needing to draw on scrolls or manipulating existing ink to perform a technique. Like this next technique. You'd be able to create the snakes without needing to pour out ink first:
( Ninpou: Sumi Nagashi ) – Ninja Art: Ink Flush
Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short – Mid
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A
Description: The user will pour Ink onto the ground, and create several ink snakes to strike from underground and restrain the opponents. These ink snakes are capable of preventing movement by targets but doesn’t reduce their actual AGL. Should enough force be generated, these snakes can be defeated.
Next up is the main event for Ink Ninjutsu. The poster boy, if you will. A stronger version of the Beast Imitation Technique, it also has a lot more going on in terms of restrictions. What do you make of the debuffs attached to this technique? Also, with the new damage splitting rules, how much do you reckon each Beast would be if you made all 5 at once?
Type: Supplementary/Offensive
Rank: A
Range: Short - Long
Chakra: 30
Damage: 60
Description: A more powerful version of Beast Imitation, this version allows the user to create significantly larger animals though the overall number decreases. Now capable of making 5 creations of varying types up to 10 meters tall, these creations now have the added perk of being able to reduce the target’s speed or vision. Should these animals strike a target directly ( such as a gorilla colliding into a target ), this creation will disperse and leave ink on the target, reducing their AGL by 1 point. Should these targets be destroyed, they are capable of dousing a 3 meter area each with ink, limiting any opponent’s vision for 3 turns if they are within this area, reducing their DEX by 1 point. Ink residue after this cannot be utilized for future attacks, only this initial attack.
Note: Can only be used once every 2 turns.
Note: If a target has had their AGL decreased, then they will not have their DEX reduced should a creation be destroyed.
Sneaky ink sneks. Since this is just ink manipulation any prior source can be use right? Like say an ink clone that was destroyed and turned back into ink. Also, could an ink clone turn itself into these snakes?
Ninja Art: Super Beast Imitation
I don't really see the benefit to reducing the opponents stats, considering it would just be easier to buff ones own. Also, considering that you can't do both at the same time. This mostly comes from a place of inexperience since I don't really know how impact a -1 in a stat is. As for damage splitting; 60/5=12 rounded down to the nearest 5 would be 10.

Now you're cooking with grease. Any ink source can be used to perform this technique, including ink left behind from previous techniques (hold off on the clone producing ink as thats not been explicitly stated in the technique, despite how it operates in the show) but note that some techniques mention that their ink cannot be used again, so that's also something to keep in mind. And yea, the Art of the Debuff lies in choosing when and how to. Your math also checks out.
Next we have the upgraded version of Super Beast Imitation. Its doing a lot more than the previous two versions, so I want you to note any important differences you see in it as well as a possible scenario you'd use it in.
( Ninpo: Chōjū Giga Hitoame ) - Ninja Art: Super God Imitating Drawing
Type: Offensive
Rank: S
Range: Short - Long
Chakra: 40
Damage: 80
Description: Often employed in one-to-one combat, the user is able to bring forth massive and powerful humanoid warriors to battle for them. These warriors, being capable of being up to 15 meters large, are capable of independent actions and dealing high damage with ink swords and hammers. Boasting greater power than the Super Beast Imitating Drawing, each creation can quickly deliver deadly blows capable of easily destroying stone and the terrain. When striking with these weapons, they are capable of causing a 5 meter large ink explosion at the point of contact that spreads ink everywhere capable of both blinding targets as well as slowing them tremendously. When used in this manner, these explosions can lower a target’s AGL and DEX by 1 each for 3 turns. Inversely, it can lower either individual Attribute by 2 as a trade off of only focusing on one Attribute. Ink residue after this cannot be utilized for future attacks, only this initial attack.
Note: This technique can only be used up to 3 times per battle, lasting up to 3 turns each usage.
Note: This technique can lower AGL and DEX by 1 each when targeting both, or it can lower either Attribute by 2 by itself.
Creates warriors instead of animals. Even larger max size, but no upper limit of how many can be made. Can spread ink in a much wider range and without being destroyed. Can lower both Agl and Dex by 1 at the same time, or one stat by 2. What does that last line mean? Like does it mean I can use the ink for other inky things or I can use it to lower attributes? Just not both? Also, no chakra per turn means it only stays on the field for the turn its used, right?
I would mostly use this to block something by having it "cut" or destroy an attack and using that same motion have it spread ink everywhere. Or create two of these on a smaller scale, attack the opponent with one while the other runs around spreading ink. Most of the things my tiny brain can think of is just splooging ink everywhere.

The clause in there simply means you can either debuff an opponent's Agility and Dexterity by 1 at the same time, ordebuff one Attribute (Agility or Dexterity) twice, lowering it by 2 instead of 1. Also, the lack of chakra upkeep and the description note, " capable of independent actions" means it can do stuff without you controlling it, just like a sentient creation, which would leave you otherwise free to do any other stuff.
'Splooging' Ink is a valid game plan, but what if your opponent is relentlessly attacking you? Are you sure you'll have enough time on your hands to be spreading ink everywhere for a future turn? Just something for you to think about when it comes to building this AN, both for customs and actually fighting. With its size this technique could even be used to combat a larger-than-life techniques like a giant boulder, for example, or even a Mid-Large sized summoning creature.
Now here comes your graduation ceremony. This one is the epitome of canon Ink Release, with both Fuin and Debuffs baked in. Compared to the other techs you've learned so far, what have you noticed that's special about this one?
Type: Offensive
Rank: S
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 40
Damage points: 80
Description: After the user draws a gigantic tiger, the illustration extends from the scroll and while still connected, captures its prey with its teeth and claws, before dragging the victim back into the scroll and pinning them down within the confines of the drawing. Due to the enormity of the illustration, the user requires an extended period of time to complete the image, during which they need protection as their attention is devoted to drawing. This technique as a Fuinjutsu is capable of binding the target’s speed for a longer duration than normal. This tiger, should it dig it’s teeth into it’s target, is capable of dispersing itself and causing a semi permanent reduction of AGL by 2 points until this seal’s effect is broken.
Note: This can only be used successfully once and custom variants are not allowed currently.
The only thing I can see is the semi-permanent AGL debuff, as the others had a turn limit. When it says that an extended period of time is need, what exactly does that mean? Also, what would be the easiest way to break the seal?

Exactly. This effect can last indefinitely which makes it both one of the strongest Fuinjutsu and Ink techniques ever seen. 'An extended period' means you won't be able to draw the incredibly detailed art that the technique requires in the heat of an exchange. Instead, think of it like meditating to gather Natural Energy: You'll have to focus on the act of drawing which would take a full turn at the least, which is why it's recommended that you have protection.
There are a couple ways to counter this technique. Destroying the Ink tiger and the drawn scroll is probably the easiest way. Any damage surpassing this tech's stated values will break the creation's hold on you as it drags you into the scroll. That and any other technique specified to affect seals, break restraints (like Chakra Enhanced Strength), or techniques that could overpower or cancel out with it on a chakra vs chakra basis. If all of that fails, you'd technically still be able to free yourself from inside the image, as it only notes that you are pinned down physically and not restricted from molding chakra.
