Infinite tsukuyomi

How would infinite tsukuyomi affect the people on the opposite side of the planet from the moon?
Also, wouldn't it be canceled if a cloud passed over the moon?
Just me, but it seems a bit weird.

You probably don't need to look at the moon all the time to be under the effect of the Genjutsu. Probably just once, and as long as you're connected to the God-tree, you'll be trapped forever.

It's a pretty powerful jutus i'm sure if shisui could put people under whith out them looking at them then this would also apply

Well take Sasuke's genjutsu on Killer Bee for example, he broke eye contact with Killer Bee but he was still under the jutsu(before the 8 tails broke it). All it takes is to see it once.Then the tree of life connects to everybody or something.

Itachi saved Sasuke with Izanami. Sasuke would not be alive without the Izanami technique which Sasuke did not know but hopefully learned from Itachi. Kabuto came back to save Sasuke because Izanami made him accept himself and his fate from his actions. He woke up when he did so and directly came to save Sasuke. Itachi chose not to kill Kabuto and instead use the Izanami technique for the very purpose of later saving his brother and inturn saving the world. Itachi may have been that smart.

Yeah I wondered that too, but I think the power of darkness is in the trees eye. Perhaps the tree being activated has shrouded the planet in darkness, and prepared the moon.
Also did Obito know about everyone being connected up to the tree? I'm guessing he didn't but Madara does, Madara's full intentions haven't really been revealed yet but I bet it's something pretty dark. It could be something really out there such as he wants to charge up that tree with people's chakra like a giant battery, and use the energy for something, such as rewinding time to confront the Sage about the Uchiha Stone Tablet,:nuts: -that seems to be written about him oddly enough in particular. It could even be that he wants a rewind to go the point of his fight with Hashirama so that he could try again lol.
