But why would he simulate a fight when he already has control of them?

Even if you're in a virtual world, you need to believe its true right? Suppose Obito has cast the tsukuyomi on each of the alliance and the version we're watching is the one cast on Naruto. Now according to Naruto's understanding, the Juubi is pretty strong and its gonna take a lot of effort to defeat it. So Obito simulates such a situation for him.

Of course, there are a lot of holes in this theory and I also wouldn't like it if it progressed this way but it's a possibility

There was a panel that i think clearly foreshadows moon eye plan launching. Hashi tells everyone "be careful, who knows what this man will do." or something like that; and the moon was huge in the shot.
