I just wanted to adress, this. I hear this arguement a lot that they are the same tech. People use this to say that Madara has tskyuomi. Well I'm here to demolish this.

Obito wasn't planning on teaming up/using Madara , to launch Infinite tskyuomi. So if they are the same, this means that Obito has tskyuomi? lol I don't think so.​

tskyuomi actually means god of the moon. so in a way yes he is using the same technique because the moon is involved. if u were reading the manga everything is connected

Correct. Mugen Tsukuyomi and Tsukuyomi are not synonymous.. Madara/Obito would utilize the Jūbi to use Mugen Tsukuyomi. They wouldn't use their own power for such a feat. Had Obito had Tsukuyomi, he would have showcased the dōjutsu.. He hasn't in canon.

. No Mangekyō Sharingan has shown the ability to cast two dōjutsu other than Susano'o but Susano'o is casted with the simultaneous use of both Mangekyō so even then, not an accurate comparison.

which Danzō, presumably assumed were the pinnacle of both in regards to genjutsu prowess.

He simply stated that Sasuke's Genjutsu was a far-cry from Itachi's Genjutsu [Tsukuyomi].. Never did he say that Sasuke used Tsukuyomi.​
