Infinite darkness jutsu is the ultimate counter to sharingan/ms

the infinite darkness jutsu completely seals the vision of its victim who riddles in infinite darkness. meaning the sharingan users won't be able to use their eyes to break this genjutsu since their vision is sealed. In order to break it, they will have to find the caster of the jutsu using other means and hit him with a strong jutsu. In Hiruzen's case, he actually had to use the reaper death seal on Hashirama to break from it. Any sharingan/ ms techniques are useless against this gen jutsu technique for that same obvious reason.

The darkness jutsu is quite an op technique and its unique nature makes it one of the best counters against the Uchiha's. This may have helped the shodaime when he defeated Madara.

Hiruzen is as skilled as they come when it comes to basic ninja skills like tracking. Also Hashirama was kind of standing still in one spot back then cause he was an edo and Oro didn't order him to move around. But what if Hashirama creates a forest and conceals himself after using bringer of darkness. I don't think even someone as skilled as Madara would be able to track him down without his eyes and the sharingan.

Madara who is a lot stronger than Tobi could detect perfect clones. In the end it all came to stamina/chakra.

Are you serious? There is no darkness which is sealing the victims vision, this is just an visual illusion which let you see darkness; being in an illusion you never see the real caster. And since this bringer of darkness is nothing but an illusion, the Sharingan sees through it.

Shees Genjutsu is just the same thing but blinds you with light instead of darkness. He fooled Juugo but Sasuke saw through it immediately.

just rewatched that episode and it seemed that the technique ended when the reaper's arm went through the dark barrier NOT when Hiruzen touched Hashirama, as a matter of fact he was struggling trying to grab him properly.

BOD Is more dangerous.. you can't break it unless you land a hit/touch on the caster.....

ofc there are many ninjas who can do that.... eg- kakashi has nin dogs and smell akin to them

inside the barrier everything had a range
mokuton got restricted to the boundaries of the barrier
and if i am not mistaken BOD spread to the entire barrier so that cant be taken as a proof that it is a short-mid range jutsu
