Just to clear it up ..

There is a chance Indra's "spiral" dojutsu is not even his dojutsu ..

The spiral could symbolize a mutation from his father's Rinnegan into a Sharingan ..

Kind of like a process ..

Anyway we never saw his EMS yet ..

Exactly. And it could also be just his MS form. I always said that the whole 'elder son's eyes' idea is lame.

I don't think those spiral eyes were his literal eyes ..

I honestly still think it was just a simpler, more primitive way of drawing his Sharingan... I honestly don't believe there's a spiral eye, unless it's his EMS... but where would he get a second set of Sharingan... His brother certainly didn't have a pair.

Perhaps he didn't even need a second pair. As we all know, Senju DNA takes away the blinding effect, and the 2 brothers are actually very close in terms of DNA anyway, so...

Well his descendents became the Uchiha Clan, which is long after his death ..

Maybe he was born with Sharingan, then awakened EMS instead of MS ..

Why hasn't anyone though of that Kishi may have originally intended for Indra to have something called Spiral eyes but left the idea and gave him Sharingan instead? Its more likely that way, and it does makes sense. Another possible idea is that the Spiral Eyes are really his EMS or MS. We also saw him using Perfect Susano'o in the fight against his brother, meaning that he most likely achieved EMS.

Or maybe he did.

Perhaps this is so.

I'm still maintaining the spiral eye was more symbolism than accurate detail at this point.

Well the better translation is that he found power on the same level of his brother. Obviously meaning he trained and could battle his brother on the same level, not that he magically gained a sharingan.
