SPOILER. Not FRESH naruto material but, ahead of the anime at least.

So indra and ashura were slated as near equals. With Indra being a prodigy and ashura being almost skill-less. But with help of others, and a work ethic indra couldn't possibly hope to achieve, Ashura became not just as strong, but stronger (as shown with his decendents Hashirama and Naruto).

But look at this scan. Originally, I thought those images were just lumped together, or that the susano'o was just in the foreground... but look at the sizes of indra and ashura, they're the same. So Indra's susano'o DRARF'S ashura's "bijuu mode".

His head is as big as ashuras entire form.

We know that madara's susno'o and the kyuubi were about the same size. Same with naruto's kyuubi and sasuke's susano'o (naruto's kyuubi being half size, and sasuke's susano'o being smaller than madara's).

Because bijuu are energy, and their size representing how much energy they have (kurama with half his power is half the size as shown by obito's konoha invasion).

So we conclude that indra has much more power than ashura (not sure WHICH bijuu or bijuu(s) he has).

Thoughts?

There is no evidence that ashura was a jinchuriki. Besides size doesn't matter. Kaguya annihilated sasuke's susanoo despite being hundreds of times larger than her.

when you're composed of pure chakra, yeah, it kinda matters

I'm pretty sure it's one of those pictures of the closer image being smaller than the rest.

Like when naruto is talking about his two sun's (minato/kushina) and there is this big image of them behind him.
^^Forgot the term for it

Pretty sure they're the same size, if no Indra being bigger by a margin.

It will only matter if you can prove that ashura was a jinchuriki. Assuming he wasn't then it wouldn't matter because sasuke's PS susanoo has better strength feats than madara's despite being only half the size.

The manga states that Indra lost the war. What's there to discuss?

Indra lost the battle of succeeding Hagoromo not the actualm battle itself

OT: Indra >>> Ashura

The war began after Ashura was chosen over his brother.

Indra lost that war.

Its easy to lose a war when you have like ZERO followers.

Indra was already said to be stronger than ashura.

Moreover, his susano'o is bigger

It has kyuubi markings, and goudodama. Its not speculation. And better strength feats? Didn't know susano'os could have lift contests

No. He's not closer. Look at the sizes of the people. Indras susano'o just dwarf's it

It's never been stated that Indra was stronger than Ashura specifically. He only possessed immense talent and power, something that Ashura didn't have at the time.

Read above. they both died. Ashura only won as a successor of ninshuu
Nope. Indra lost the war and there was only 1 war. Secondly your premise that size equals power/strength is wrong.

They fought 1v1 and Indra lost.

Keep making those excuses. Keep stacking those Ls. Stay mad.

Indra was a prodigy

Ashura was a loser who couldnt do anything on his own
