What a logic? I mean, you take two temporary panels, then conclude that Indra always protected Ashura. What about Madara and Hashirama?
Well, we could look at Madara and Hashirama. Basically, Hashirama always beat Madara. So according to your logic, Ashura spent his life beating Indra.
Oh, no. Even let look at Naruto and Sasuke. Naruto was always trying to save Sasuke from the darkness. This is actually also called being protective of someone. Therefore, according to you, Ashura was always protective to Indra.
Worst, I don't see how much Sasuke has protected Naruto so far. There is only a display in their different characters - that is Naruto does not even care about his life and whatever danger he faces while Sasuke is the calculating guy who like to make sure he has all the weapon to finish the enemy before he engages a battle.
Simply put, Naruto is instinctive while Sasuke is cognitive. Going a bit far, Naruto is a god while Sasuke is human. A god know he has to do something, and does not think about whether he can or not. Seen another way, Naruto has confidence that he can overcome anything once he is engaged.
