So the Indian government is much similar to U.S.A since its ran by 2 main parties Congress and BJP (Bharat Janta Party). For over many years no one had been a challenge to these 2 juggernauts. Until for the 2 years a man named Arvind Kejriwal started his own party called "Aam Adami party" (AAP), it translates into "normal people party". And now the man has been voicing out against corruption and things like drugs and etc. Now in the recent elections the primary elections (since india follows the British parliamentary system), they only gained 4 seats in the parliament out of the 523 seats in the indian house of representatives.
Now the 4 seats out of 523 seats is not that big. However, the peculiar thing is that the seats are from 1 state called Punjab. Punjab was said to have been the leading state in the india's fight for freedom from the british. And now is "titled" as the leading state for the second fight of freedom. Freedom from corruption, drugs and etc. So India is going through a big time revolution right now.
So that only makes one think if China is next. Will the 2 biggest countries (population wise) be the ones to lead the worldwide fight against political corruption? who knows.
Will India's next door neighbor join india in a political revolution? only time will tell, but lets hope so.
What are your opinions? will Kejriwal and his campaign succeed? Will China also head for a reform?
