Name: Inchato Yuki
Nickname: Champion of the Frozen Wastes | Inch
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Clan: Yuki
Looks: Inchato is of a thin, muscular build. His skin is representative of his time spent in the polar regions, and is quite pale. He has long brown hair, which falls past his eyes, though it parts in a way that doesn't obstruct his vision in the slightest. He has eys of a dark blue-gray color, which always seem to hold a cool, unwavering stare. He always has an indifferent look on his face, which is always masking what he is feeling and thinking on the inside.
In terms of wardrobe, Inchato differs from a standard shinobi. Rather than the village flak jackets, he prefers a simple and lightweight long sleeved black jacket. Beneath the jacket, Inchato is usually seen wearing a deep blood red shirt, although at times he is seen with a dark grey shirt in its stead. He is always seen wearing gloves, which help to protect his hands from the cold temperatures created by his deadly ice. He is usually seen wearing a pair of sleek black pants, with a pair of black shoes. In addition to this, he is usually seen with a katana made of pitch black steel strapped to his back.
Personality: To an outside eye, one may think that Inchato is rather cold. He generally seems to be indifferent and polite, but even at the slightest insult or threat, he can be cruel in an extremely casual manner. This is mirrored by the expression he usually carries on his face. It is an expression of indifference often being accompanied by a slight smirk. Despite this seamless mask of indifference, Inchato is very observant and notes everything happening around him, and processes it and often times forms a strong opinion.
Inchato rules his decision making based on logic. He is never impulsive, and as a result, he finds impulsive people to be nothing more than a nuisance. Because of this logical mindset, Inchato can at times make controversial decisions, though they usually benefit him in the end. Despite all of Inchato's logic, he sometimes allows his emotions and morals to sway his decision.
Upon closer inspection, one may find that Inchato is actually quite playful and witty then he first appears, although he does this in a rather subtle way. He tried to be kind and patient in his dealings most of the time, though he often loses his patience and lashes out at people he deems to be unintelligent.

History: Eighteen years ago, a young man by the name of Darte Yuki was fleeing the Land of Water for his life. He was a member of the dreaded Yuki Clan, who had long since been shunned for their involvement in the war that had ravaged the land. Although he had never actually fought, and certainly had no control over his powers, he had somehow come to the attention of the Village Hidden in the Mist.
At this time, the Village Hidden in the Mist was hunting the rogue members of the clan, and being the Bloody Mist Village at this time, they cared little that Darte wasn't actually a shinobi. After a brush and near death experience with one of their tracker ninja, Darte found himself on a small ferry boat fleeing the island which the Land of Water was located on. Upon landing, Darte quickly took flight to a nearby village in the Land of Fire, where he hoped to lie low and avoid the notice of the tracker ninjas of the village.
After a few months of living in the village, Darte truly felt at home in the village. He settled down, and met a girl, and fell in love. Being foolish and in love, Darte told the woman of his ancestry, which both shocked and surprised her, though she did not leave him. But of course, this quiet life wouldn't last. Darte underestimated the reach of Kirigakure, and shortly after he finally began to hope he had left his past behind, a tracker ninja found him and brutally killed him, in front of his love. However, the story doesn't end here. After watching her love brutally murdered in front of her own eyes, the woman, Katrina, moved to a village deeper into the Land of the Fire, hoping to bury the memories of her shortly lived romance. Upon arriving at this new village, she realized that she was with child. With no one to support her, she briefly settled in the village and worked as a cook in a bar as often as she could to afford the rend in her small apartment. In the following months, she had a baby boy. She named the child Inchato.
Katrina, knowing of the father's bloodline, realized the imminent danger that the new born was in and moved to the Hidden Leaf Village as soon as she was able. When she arrived in the village, she sought a meeting with the ninja of the village. She explained everything that had happened to her, including the ancestry and unique abilities that the baby would undoubtedly have. To her relief, the village agreed to raise the child as a shinobi, and would harbor and protect both her and the child.
In the following years, Katrina worked as a barmaid and Inchato grew up in a regular way for a future shinobi of the hidden leaf: attending the academy each day. Inchato showed average project in the physical aspect of his learning, but showed astounding progress in the understanding and knowledge part of his education. However, because his actual combat skills weren't above average, he took the standard amount of time to graduate, and ended up graduating at age 12. During his time at the academy, Inchato met Xanthe, who apparently is a self proclaimed lazy genius whom eats octopus and likes girls.
Upon graduating, Inchato, like all genin, was assigned to a three man squad, which was to be lead by a jounin. Inchato was paired with Xanthe and Gin-San. At first, Inchato completely and utterly hated Gin. During missions, the two were frequently at ends with each other, and constantly insulted one another. After several months, however, they were able to drop there fighting. At this time, Inchato and his team were put forth into the Chuunin exams. To the shock of many, the Jounin leading their squand submitted them for testing despite their being rookie genin. Submitting them so early however, had an unexpected on Inchato's attitude, however. Inchato became immensely arrogant and was overconfident in his abilities.
And so, Inchato, Gin-San, and Xanthe began preparing for the chunin exams. In order to prepare, Inchato trained extensively with his fellow students under their sensei in the art of the sword, and slowly began to hone his skill in kenjutsu. After finishing their training, the time for the Chunin exams rolled around the corner. Inchato and his team barely managed to scrape by on the first two tests, but then it came to the third and final exam.
As is standard for this exam, is was a one on one tournament. In his first round, Inchato went up against a girl from the Hidden Grass Village. Inchato, using his newly honed skill with a sword, was able to quickly move in and disable her, before she was able to truthfully even react to what he was doing. In his arrogance, however, Inchato toyed with her before defeating her, putting on a show for the crowd. In doing so, Inchato unwittingly received lowered marks for his arrogance.
Inchato then preceded to fight a fellow Hidden Leaf Shinobi. Inchato, in his arrogance, assumed that he would be able to easily defeat this new opponent. And so, Inchato went in and after a short struggle, was inevitably defeated by his more experienced counterpart. As a result, he was not given the promotion to the rank of Chunin and was sent home with his tail between his legs.
After a short time filled with anger and frustration, Inchato decided to take a journey away from the village. He knew not where he wanted to go, but knew that he wished time alone to train and mole things over. Before he left, his mother explained to him in detail his ancestry, and what powers it may have granted him. And thus, with this new information to consider, Inchato left Konohagakure for his first journey.
Knowing that he may have the ability to manipulate ice and snow, Inchato decided that the most fitting place for him to travel was north. And so, Inchato traveled into the far north regions until the environment became wintery and cold. And here, Inchato settled in a small cave and began to ponder many things. He first thought about why it was he had failed so miserably in the chunin exams, and when he was unable to divine an answer to this, he began to consider other questions. He thought of his ancestry, and what his father and other relatives would have thought of him. When he was unable to answer any of the questions before him, he came to consider one final question: How was he to awaken he ability?
While considering this question, Inchato found a state of tranquility. In this tranquility, he was able to become one with the moisture and wind aroud him, and above all else, felt truly at home in the coldness. And without realizing at first, the ice and snow began to bend to his will. And thus, Inchato learned to manipulate ice. He spent the next several months discovering and learning ice techniques. After feeling that he had done a reasonably fair job, Inchato decided to travel the frozen wastelands which he had been inhabiting.
To his surprise, Inchato found that the land was inhabited by several villages. After spending time at several of the villages, Inchato discovered that they were miserable places. The land was being ruled over by a group of rogue ninja, which was formerly a sort of wandering village. The rogue ninja ruled over the land with an iron fist. Anyone who stood up to them or refused to supply them with whatever it was they demanded was brutally and publicly murdered.
He continued travelling through the villages, learning survival skills as he went when one of the rogue ninja demanded he gave up all of his money. When Inchato refused, the rogue ninja laughed sneeringly at him. Before long, several other rogue ninja gather around. Knowing what was going to happen, Inchato turned as if to leave. As he did so, several of the ninja jumped at his back. Before they were able to even half the distance between them, several giant spikes of ice erupted from the ground under them, impaling all of them before they had time to react. The local villagers were at first shocked and frightened when they saw this foreigner brutally and effortlessly kill those who had so cruelly ruled over them for so long.
After the shock subsided, the village celebrated joyously, thinking that their hardships were over. Inchato, having travel the country, knew better. The fact of the matter was, the village he was in was not only low in numbers of the rogue ninja, but also seemed to have weaker shinobi occupying it. Knowing this, Inchato asked the villagers to aid him in waging war against those who had and would continue to rule over them. A few of the villagers accepted, and Inchato, knowing that they only had a short while to prepare before the rogue ninja retaliated, taught them basic combat and prepared a defense for the village.
After several days, a company of the rogues traveled to the village, and see it was now fortified, immediately turned tail and left. After several more days, a far large host of ninja travelled to the now fairly fortified village. From what Inchato could gather, most of the members of the wandering village were there, including their leader. This was far worse than he had imagined. He had assumed that, in their arrogance, they would send but a small host of ninja, but he found that he had been very mistaken.
The rogue ninja preceded to put the village under siege. At first, the villagers held up fairly well, but as time passed, their morale began to drop. After three days of siege, the rogue ninja were able to break through. Inchato stood and fought them as they came, killing many with his honed skill in the use of hyouton. When the brunt of the opposing force finally broke through, Inchato was already thoroughly exhausted. Despite this, however, he continued fighting. As his reaction slowed more and more, he saw several of the villagers whom he had grown to become friends with falling to the greedy, villainous rogue shinobi. Enraged, Inchato instinctively slammed his hands on the ground, releasing a massive burst of chakra whilst doing so.
Upon doing so, an uncountable number of large, beautiful pine trees made of solid ice erupted from the ground in and around the village. The pine trees erupted under the enemy exclusively, killing all of them before they truly had any time to react. After performing this technique, Inchato passed out, and the trees sunk back into the ground. The villagers took Inchato inside and for the next three days, he slept. When he finally awoke, he was greeted as a hero and a champion. They held a festival in his honor, for he had finally rid the land of the oppressive monsters which had ruined their lively hood for so long. During the festivities, the title "Champion of the Frozen Wastes," was given to him. He was pleased by the name and gladly accepted it.
After staying in the village for a time, Inchato decided to leave, much to the dismay of the occupants of the village. After saying his farewells, Inchato journeyed back to the Hidden Leaf Village. As he traveled back, he realized that he had not only answered all of the questions he had set out to answer, but also answered and achieved far more than that. Upon arriving back at the village, he was shocked to learn that it had been two years since he had left.
Inchato then met up with his old team mates Gin-San and Xanthe, both of which had become Chunin by this time. After telling them what he had accomplished in the past years, they had an interesting proposition for him. They put a scroll in front of him, and giving no explanation, told him to sign it. Inchato, going against his better judgement, did so. They then taught him the hand seals and concept of a jutsu, though they didn't explain what it was, and told him to perform it. Inchato obediently did as they asked, and upon slamming his hand on the ground, was shocked to find that a human sized bird was suddenly beneath him.
Inchato, out of surprise comically fell face first into the ground in shock, and after a few brief moments of confusion, decided to temporarily freeze Gin and Xanthe in a solid block of ice. While he had them frozen, Inchato spoke with the bird as to what exactly had just happened. The bird told Inchato that he had just signed a summong contract with the bird species known as the Kea. Pleased, Inchato released Gin and Xanthe from their icey prison and continued on his merry way.
Inchato then reentered the chunin exams, and with his newly honed abilities was able to pass the test with great ease. With his new rank as chunin, Inchato spent the next two years dutifully serving the village. During these two years, Inchato continued to hone his skills and develop new ice techniques. In addition to this, Inchato got to know each and every Kea which was tied to the contract which he had been tricked into signing, and as a result, felt very comfortable when fighting alongside them in battle.
