Yes and no. Dogs have a similar innocence as children, so it hurts when they suffer. Now if you were more moved by the death of a dog vs a child, you would be weird.

Haha I knew it would be Hachiko you should check out the original Japanese movie. Also I like Balto..... I saw an episode of futurama that did a kinda spoof for Hachiko and it made me cry. Both Hachiko movies made me cry....I'm tearing up a little just thinking about it. :T_T:
