Just pinacle of stupidity of black zetsu. Besides that the episode failed to deliver Hagoromo's character well as father and also as master of nishu who could learn any technique at whim or at blink, they also hyped up Indra too much. Also made Hagoromo bad father who is afraid or indifferent to confrot Indra about his way of doing.

And at the last, Is Indra idiot ? If not why didn't he question bz about knowing about his father ?... or at least talk about it with father ?

Filler episode wasn't that bad but these terrible errors make it pathetic as ever

by manga yes, but he would never let Indra boss around everyone and him doing nothing. However I am sure his father's love would stop me from threatening Indra
Maybe he just thought he'll grow out of it.Sorta like minato did with cold kakashi

1. Black Zetsu told Indra he could surpass Hagoromo to convince Indra to discover the full extent of his abilities.

2. Black Zetsu wasn't going to tell Indra anything about he knew Hagoromo, so it was pointless for Indra to ask. Furthermore, what was the point in Indra telling Hagoromo anything about that when Hagoromo didn't know jack about Black Zetsu's existence?

Let's say Indra did tell Hagoromo that some stranger who happened to know about him has been talking to him. And then what? Black Zetsu was supposed to show up and spill everything to the both of them?

He wasn't really a bad father, he just doesn't like coercion because that's what Kaguya did when she was in power. His goal was to not use fear as a tool to influence people and in the manga Indra wasn't said to be bad until Hagoromo chose a successor. By that time he was on the verge of death so he couldn't have prevented the fight.

He gave Goku and Ging a run for their money for worst father's ever. That line is likely meant to corrupt him.

It was still stupid. Maybe next episode will do their whole relationship more justice.

I thought it was meant to be a tai long/ Shifuu type thing since Hagaromo taught them to use Ninshu.

Indra realized that in order to properly become Ninshu Successor and rule the new world he would have to surpass or rival Hagaromos power. So he committed himself to training in order to fulfill his dream of becoming Ninshu Successor.

Maybe Indra thought it weakness to ask for help as Hagaromo stated in the manga that Indra was always powerful so he rarely sought help.

He thinks true power is handling everything own your own, solving your own issues, and gaining your own power.

I agree he should have asked for some type of guidance from his father but Indra is focused on the future and rushing to get there instead of seeking wisdom from those who have been there.

I don't think you know Hagoromo nor feudal japan that well.

All black Zetsu was doing was goading Indra, obviously Indra would mever hold a camdle to his father though :lmao:. This isn't the first time someone in Naruto was blindly manipulated. Black Zetsu's manipulation of Indra and his descendents, Madara manipulating Obito,Danzo manipulating the foundation and Sai, the entire "ninja creed" under the second hokage regime of what it meant to be a ninja, heck even the third Kazekage was blindly manipulated by Orochimaru. All it takes is a little push, Indra already felt that he was special all one had to do was give him enough incentive and inflate his ego. Sure as heck happened to Madara and Nagato (before Naruto TNJ).

Hagoromo already elaborated that Ninshu wasn't supposed to be weaponized in canon. That's ninjutsu, idk what you expected from a humble munk that is Hagoromo. It sounds like you want someone that is constantly showcasing godly power and putting nations in an awestruck stance everynow and then...That has never been his character. That's not even in the character of a monk even in canon Hagoromo was quite modest even when Filler started I knew he wasn't going to ne showcasing a lot of godly power given from the character canon gives us of him and I was right, and I'm not even a Hagoromo fan.

And afraid or indifferent to confront Indra? He literalky talked to Indra about it. He said if Indra didn't someone would and praised him for his intuition that Indra's innovations could be weaponized. Hagoromo always believed in the natural order of things. Even in canon when Sasuke captured the bijuu and Kakashi questioned him. Hagoromo simply stated it would be selfish for him to do much of anything and intervene with how things "should go". That's typically what people have issues with when ot comes to monks or people of high power and status. They don't intervene unless it A) harms their existence B) ansoliteky necessary or C) a combination of both.

To answer your Indra question, nobody tells their parent everything. To Indra black zetsu is a makeshift subpar ally. Even if he did tell his father it's not like he or his father could answer who he was. It could've been some random. Indra didn't even tell Asura and if he can't tell whom he loves most he isn't telling his father. It is questionable but black zetsu manipulated Indra in a way that he goads him and praises him for his talents. As far as Indra is concerned he's just sone random that happens to be right about some things such as gaining a sharingan. Black zetsu even told him not to worry about whom he was.

In truth just because it's filler or anime doesn't mean chatacters aren't still human and don't make hunan errors. Hagoromo said he was going to explain the story of Indra and Asura not gloat about how strong he was.

He just really loved humans that's all. A great man doesn't mean a great father, they're two very different roles.

Than you very much for such well constructed and thought response ;p. Well to be honest I would expect show of godly power of Hagoromo but rather after become JJ to fix world and then trying to pay for his "crimes"(in his own mind). However I disagree with :

- Hagoromo no confronting Indra
- I expected Hagoromo just watching Indra doing jutsu saying like "damn my eyes clearly see through everything he has done" and he would just practice it in hidden to be ready if his son would gone dark side.
- Indra not questioning bz is cheap and a bit unreal
- Everything else I agree.

You expect too much from Hagaromo, at the end of the day, he's an old man who failed to prevent the schism of his sons.
