This poem was inspired by the forest that I'm in right now. I really find that deep in the forest is where authors can be more inspirational. :D

The drip-drop of the rain
The pounding of the thunder
The flash of lightning

It sent hearts thumping
Sent the eyelids drooping
And sent the children giddy

The birds chirped
Waiting for food
Pitched and high for all to hear

The creeks trickling in motion
Flora and fauna lining the side

Dew drops fallling onto the ground
Pebbles aroused the motionless creak
Frogs croaking and crickets chirping

Caves held the animales tight
They seemed dead to the world
As the rain gently hit the caves

The forest filled with the wonders of nature
Bugs, trees, bunnies, and all
But something lurked in the forest

With his weapon that could shoot down the greatest buck
His hide as thick as cement
His hooves as hard as rock

Animals cower in the presence
Of someone so worthy
To walk in their forest

Many of them had died by his hand
Reducing them by half
And to think how he got here

His feet pounded on the ground
Disapointed he got nothing
He leaves the forest

He trails away
Following the calls of the city
Him and his miltary weapon
Leave the thickest in peace <3
