Pretty much this. Assuming he does have superior potential to Gai (which makes sense, given that Gai was sort of ostracized for his incompetence as a Shinobi early on whereas Lee was a standout in the Chunnin Exams), his 7th Gates should be higher than Gai's which went toe to toe with Kisame. So that puts 7th Gated Lee at around or above Kisame level, which is a very healthy plateau to have.

Which chapters did this even take place in? I'd like to see it. As far as I remember, Ino controlled Choji's body, blocked one or two attacks and then gave Choji a pep talk before leaving his body.

How exactly is he gonna out smart her? There's nothing to be exploited with the Gentle Fist style. Shikamaru always wins by exploiting weaknesses in his opponents [Kin, Temari, Tayuya, Hidan]... So. Do explain. What is he exactly gonna exploit with her?

That's completely one dimentional way to look at things. Gai did more than "one thing" in war arc and overall manga. Same goes for a more improved Lee.

I acknowledge Sakura's skills idk why Sakura fans have trouble acknowledging other characters' skills when they go on and on about how underappriciated Sakura is. I know Sakura is more useful in some situations you did not have to give any example. Who would be being preferred in which type of team depends on situation.

That was before Kishi invented the term "Nintaijutsu". Sakura's attacks are taijutsu + ninjutsu. She releases chakra from her fist like Body Flicker does with the feet, which is classed as ninjutsu.

Leave the movie out... now, how is Hinata relevant to the plot besides her feelings for Naruto? In the movie they're finally focusing on her and her clan, thank god.

Gaara and Naruto have a strong FRIENDSHIP. They both can understand each other on a level not even Sakura and arguably Sasuke can possibly begin to comprehend because their backgrounds are nearly identical. Comparing this to Hinata is laughable and an insult to Gaara.

Another point is, while Hinata and Naruto are on good terms with each other as friends, there's nothing in their interactions to lead me to believe they will ever move on to an intimate relationship. NH is just not logical from what we were given in the story.

Chakra only unlocks the utilization of th Gates and increasing physical ability. It's not like what Tsunade and Sakura does, which releases chakra from their body and uses it offensively. Chakra itself is not used as a weapon, as stated by Gai.
