Team Guy was SO strong, they couldn't be involved in the manga for much of it. Guy> MS/3T Kakashi, Tenten > Sakura prior to Yin release, and Lee and Neji didn't go WAYYY behind Naruto and Sasuke till BM/EMS. Team Guy makes it though most of Team 7's battles for sure.

You can't just use Team 7 Standars to judge Team 8. If team 8 were to replace Team 7, they should have plot no jutsus too...
