[Suggestion] In regards to banned members

It seems that sometimes members are banned for their vulgar ways and constant breaking of the rules; yet when they get banned they just create another account and start back at it again.

This has to be very annoying for the mods to keep banning accounts who are the same person. So my suggestion would be to imply an IP Ban, so that they could not access the site for a number of (hours/days/weeks/years) depending on how many times someone has broken the rules; and the severity of their actions.

I understand fully that IP banning is not as easy to do as just banning their account, but it seems that the trouble it would take to ip ban would be worth not having the trouble that particular member could do if they just can just keep creating new accounts.

There's no point to try to ban ip because whenever they try to do it they will fail.

The member can register from anywhere using phone, ipad and PC in different ip adress and he can change his ip adress statically.

It's impossible to stop them from coming back.

I don't know if it happens, that is why I suggested it; it seems that it doesnt, but I could be wrong. And I understand that there are ways around it as well, but hopefully they wouldnt go through the trouble of getting a new ip.

Also,You don't have only one device from which you register,You can use you Phone,Tablet etc to register too. Each and every device has a different IP address.

Banning the IP was never a viable option. There are tons of different IP's a person can use. It takes a single click to ban someone, so those who constantly make alts to troll waste only their time.

I also understand it is impossible to stop them, and I understand that different devices have different IP's, but hopefully they wouldnt go to incredible lengths to continue on. I know that is highly unlikely but its something to hope for.

This is NB. An IP Ban is not gonna stop Trolls. So, I agree with Flakez. Just report the alts and you are done.

Thank you all for the input, I'll just keep reporting the really bad ones, and let the mods do their thing. I hadnt thought about how resilient internet trolls are now lol, its been great talking with you all.

Lmao, The hardcore trolls are mostly IP banned(didn't you know they've been IP banning members since the beginning? xD) But it can be easily bypassed, So, in the end it isn't really able to serve the true purpose
