I dunno, but I hope Boruto new eye atleast have some Byakugan properties in conjunction with his Hyuga technique and jutsu like how Kaguya was to use Hair needle to pinpoint chakra point.

currently his eye just reacts to thing

if it is the MS of the byakugan then hopefully like the 'rinnegan' of the byakugan the Tenseigan he will also have the regular byakugan abilities

boruto's eye isn't byakugan or tenseigan, it's not even a dojutsu
it's just an ordinary eye with uzumaki's ability "Negative Emotions Sensing"

she goes to night school so we don't see here that much

sometimes she helps out but Shikidai is basically the third wheel of the group
