SS had no reason to even exist, 0 development. I mean I want to see Sasukesama happy but it doesn't seem like he is with Sakura.

NH made more sense than SS. Hinata had a genuine reason to like Naruto, Sakura only likes Sauce because of her preteen fantasies that she clung too from so long ago.

Sakura's original goal was only Sasuke than she started focusing on other things besides just Sasuke. If I'm not mistaken she wanted to get stronger and was inspired by Naruto and Sasuke even Lee at one point.

If Hinata's only goal was Naruto then you wouldn't have seen her training all day sometimes alone and sometimes with others like Team 8 and Neji in order to better herself

If she was only focused on Naruto then you'd see her bugging the dude 24/7 and crying if he doesn't notice her

chasing after him regardless of if he is out and about and throwing away her dignity and allegiance to Konoha in order to chase him every time

Ok, but same could be said with SS only difference is NH had more better interactions than SS which was practically nonexistent. SS is trash, it was literally the story of a girl wanting a Boy's D the entire story but instead of getting it herself she forced Naruto to do it.

At OP: Like a lot of characters her potential was ruined. I would have really liked to see how she changed the Hyuga clan and more of her relationship with Hiashi and Kurenai. I think one of her goals was to be acknowledged by her dad/the clan but Kishi left that. Honestly few females got non screwed. Ino and Temari were lucky Kishi didn't care about them enough to f**k them up.
