Some obvious reasons why Sage is an Uzumaki:

1. Sage was first Jin, Mito Uzumaki was the second jin in history to follow him.
2. Sage was sealing expert, Uzumaki were sealing experts
3. Sage was priest, Uzumakis were a priestly clan
4. Kurama recognized Naruto's Uzumaki Seal as Sage's
5. an uzumaki is current savior of the world, parallelism: an uzumaki is the former savior of the world
6. Rikūdo was able to survive juubi extraction, kushina survived having kurama extracted from her
7. Gedo Mazo chakra chains were Rikudou's jutsu, the same chakra chain was used by kushina
8. Uzumaki Shiki Fuujin was unsealed by using the Shinigami Mask on Rikudou's Tablet.
