In a way they both lost

I mean physically, they both lost an arm. Neither of them can move. Naruto may be too stubborn to admit it, but if either of them moved they'd die. So I'm not really sure either of them physically won.

Ideologically, Sasuke seems to have given up on the idea he can change the world alone. I mean, he sort of has to admit that he can't do it alone since he can't even stop Naruto (kill him) on his own. Plus he just lost an arm and is mortally wounded, so what choice does he have? But Sasuke shows here that he's really secretly acknowledged Naruto all along. No surprise there, right? Sasuke envied Naruto for having strength of character and knowing who he is. Naruto admired Sasuke for being smart and "cool" and having girls like him and what not. Sasuke came to admire Naruto's strength of character and will.

In terms of fighting prowess, they're evenly matched and more or less always have been. You can say Naruto didn't intend to kill Sasuke, but really in the end that isn't totally true. As he said in the Japanese, Naruto was fine with 'dying alongside' Sasuke. I think we still may be in for a tragic ending, or at least one where neither of them can fully use ninjutsu anymore.

Sasuke becoming a Naruto band-wagoner is never going to happen. I suspect their rivalry will continue for many years to come, assuming the franchise has a future (I think it does). Sasuke will come to ideologically oppose Naruto over the issue of the future of the TB.

It'll be interesting to see how Kishimoto addresses Sasuke's original concerns. Why will the Alliance remain united, without a common enemy? Will the other villages accept the TB all being with Naruto and Konoha having a Rinnegan and Sharingan user? Will Sasuke accept the TB being allowed to roam free, and will the Go-kage? I suspect they won't.

The fact is the alliance is headed towards splintering. Whether we admit it or not.

Naruto was the one who said if either of them move too much they will die.

And Sasuke suggested that Naruto should let him die and give his Rinnegan to Kakashi, Sasuke threw his ideals right out the window.

The manga is ending, Sasuke and Naruto have reconciled and Sasuke is going to be helping Naruto with his dream of cooperation now.

Don't even need to read this because this is the 235325235 thread about this already...

Naruto won the goal of stopping Sasuke from achieving his revolution, killing the tailed beasts, killing the kage and everything else he wanted to do which is a win for Naruto though their physical fight was a tie but Naruto won the only thing he set out to do.

I wondered though when you would make an appearance with this lol

The fact that Naruto never surrended and that Sasuke forfeited to his goal is proof enough that Naruto didn't lose.

Naruto has admitted he can't accomplish his goals without Sasuke's cooperation. I think Naruto won the fight. Who will win the ideological war? I doubt Kishimoto will address this. In the end, I think both of them will become world leaders. I mean both of them worked together and saved the world, and Sasuke brings up some damn valid points about the Go-kage not being selfless as Naruto is. Also he brings up the historical issues with the ninja alliances, and the natural state of mankind to prefer war.

These are all things that Sasuke is probably right about, also the issue of the future of the TB. The world has plenty of issues that are going to need to be solved with both of their input, and especially now that S06P is gone.

Not really an issue, this manga isn't a massive statement about the politics of the world and human nature.

Most likely Kishi just briefly discusses it in a few lines in the epilogue.

Its a Shounen manga about never giving up and the power of friendship and cooperation, it isn't Planet of the Apes.

Sasuke hasn't really given up on his opinions of mankind or the politics of their world. What he says hints at future battles between them, assuming the franchise goes on. It will be interesting to see how Kishi handles the issue of the alliance not staying together and the TB and other Kage. But yeah, I doubt we get much on it.

The franchise continue?

There are only two chapters left, the story is over.

The only media left is Naruto the Last movie, and that has to do with a man with the Byakugan.

Agreed. It was stated already that cooperation + power was the way for success.

yeah, when someone started talking about how much they admire Naruto the way Sasuke did, they are already wearing merch saying "Team Naruto".
