In a debate, the simplest answer is often the best.

'Simplest' in this respect means the answer with the least assumptions.

No one would (seriously) challenge a statement saying Naruto's hair is blonde.

But expect contest if you were trying to explain that Sasuke could use Rasengan.

Indeed, something to remember for debates: A strong argument is not necessarily a lengthy argument... but rather, a clearly plausible argument.

Some may call this Occam's Razor.

the answer with the least assumptions

Thats how I work here.

I think its not just the simplest but also come with less assumption and the logic still within the line/logic of facts if one want to added something outside of fact aka opinion/assumption.

I had a debate before with someone here to disprove the connection between Kara and Uzumaki. Bcus it doesnt make sense. Their supporting point is the seal shape.

Then you sound like someone who can argue really well.

Generally, if someone is making illogical or complicated point, the onus rests on them to convince you. Some shrewd individuals try to reverse this burden, but just because you can't "disprove" something doesn't make them right.

They tried their best to convince me but there still lots of hole for them to cover, I aware of those holes. Thus it just ended with 'agree to disagree' or 'we wait and see'.

The answer that is the most interesting is the best in my opinion.
But no matter how you judge the best answer, an idea that hasn' t been proved impossible is possible.

Exactly, you hit it right on the nose with that description of a good debate argument. Throughout my years here, I've always tried to steer clear of the many (inevitably) cancerous "debates". Everyone just blindly argues in favor of their fav character and gets butt-hurt when they can't stand the facts.

For example, assumptions are unnecessary when I say that Ichiraku Ramen Guy>So6P Naruto neg diff. I can already hear the Naruto fanboys raising the pitchforks, but I'm just stating facts here.

Not always true. I remember arguing that Moscato had bijuu mode despite his look being more similar to kyuubi mode. Ppl argued otherwise but the second he used the fox all the ppl who doubted stfu

This should be stickied in the VS section for idiots that use presumption over canon.
