participate more in school lessons?
Sh*t's about to get serious for me. I'll do my A-levels in 2 1/2 years and I have to participate more.
A mark is like 70% lesson stuff (raising your hand, talking, etc.) and 30 % exams, tests.
I always write my exams very good and also in the lessons, I know most of the things, but I just don't get myself to ask the things which I don't know, or raise my hand for the things I know.
I have this problem since 2 years now, but before that, I used to talk a lot actually. :/
Any suggestions?

Just go for it. When you get that feeling like you're trying going to punk out or talk yourself out of it. Just raise your hand and say what you have to say and see what happens.

The only way you can create in life is to try for the things you want. After you answer correctly multiple times and talking in the class it will get easier and easier. But you have to be brave and break that barrier.

Cut both arms and your tongue and they should bother you with that

Thanks for your kind words. I will try it tomorrow!

Simple, raise your hand.

It's not that simple for me. But thanks anyway.

I, too, tend to not raise my hand and ask questions, and when I do that it's very rare. My only tip for you is you focus in class, and write detailed notes on your notebook. Doing that will make reading books at home very simple. I swear to God, I study Physics, Chemistry, Calculus, etc.. for like 40-80 minutes I get from B+ to A+. :)

Okay thanks, I'll also make sure to do that. :')

I have/had the same exact problem. I still get nervous. But just dont think.
Over thinking is what causes you to not do things. Go for it.
Remember, no one will remember if u got the answer wrong. No one will care.
It's for your learning, and it benefit you. **** what others think.

It's more like a social problem, you feel like you will say something wrong I guess or that your question is pretty easy to understand. But if I were you, I would think differently. I know it is hard, and neither this thread nor a great therapist will give you a proper answer, just put yourself in place with other people, and think how unimportant a question really is. You can ask whatever you want, just as they say there are no stupid questions!!!
