IMO, the war arc should have stuck to these battles

Naruto, Kakashi, Gai and Bee VS Obito
Five Kages VS Madara
and Sasuke & Itachi VS Kabuto (Sasuke joining the Obito battle afterwards).
Then perhaps Sasuke still meets the Hokages and Madara joins in the fight as well.

What I'm basically trying to say is that this would seem better without the alliance. Konoha 11 are the only exception to this.

The 4 Hokages and everything are epic and all, but it's just all over the place at the moment. Gai and Bee who were in the very thick of the battle have now just disappeared into the background. Too many things are happening at one time.
I would of preffered if it had just turned out like this:
Naruto, Sasuke, Bee, Kakashi, Gai, Konoha 11 and Hokages VS Obito, Madara and Juubi.

These guys are literally the only people who have made an impact in the current battle. With the alliance there it just causes lots of cluster and makes Kishi's job harder.

I totally agree. In addition, I think Kishi messed up the pacing of the battles a bit, but who knows...

Agreed with everything except this. This fight had something of a ten chapter focus and it sucked badly. It should have had less focus. Sasuke and Kabuto sucked the life out of this manga in this fight :'(

I think Kishi is going to start retracting once juubito throws down... more. The hokages are clearly gauges for his power and when they are not needed they will be eliminated. This should open more doors for less clumsy fight sequences.

The gai, Kakashi, Nardo, Bee squad should have had more than eight chapters to fight tobi. At least 15 for a full length fight with the jinchuuriki.

Pacing is indeed messed up but madara needs to have interactions with obito and naruto on the battlefield for the whole story to come together you can't have the guy who set everything in motion never speak to the hero of the story that would be horrible writing instead of shabby pacing

Yeah I agree. That's why i stated that Madara would join the fray eventually.

I agree; those people should fight and allience should go home; it is not like they are doing anything, they just consume space. Random fodders had more reaction panel to Neji's death than Team Gai honestly they are just wasting panels and it is not like they will do anything significant or effect the readers.

like how they died or how strong they were in battle...

then again im pretty sure the war arc wouldve been wayyyyyyy too long, its been like what? 2 years now?
